I am deeply offended
As a warrior I take umbrage to being called “Aromatic”, pungent perhaps, maybe even going as far as seasoned, but aromatic was just hurtful Anet.
I’m actually confused about their use of the word aromatic as it tends to refer to a pleasant and/or distinct smell. In other words, it’s either pleasant or it’s not so pleasant, but it’s a curious smell nonetheless.
I assume they meant B.O. which is not pleasant OR curious. Meh…
In this case its using the meaning Distinct smell as a bad kinda Distinctly offensive scent. English language is terrible for making words have different meansing depending how its used
I imagine that, while each warrior has a distinctive personal odour, the kittentail of oil, leather, blood, sweat, and dirt that inevitably clings to a person who fights in heavy armour for a living would fit the bill of “aromatic”.
She’s using a euphemism. She’s probably not meaning to imply that all warriors stink all the time, just that she has run across warriors that are offensive to the nose as example of something she’d use a perfumed hankerchief for.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

Should have rolled ranger. Only our pets smell, but we can stow them.

What…I cant subtly troll in a somewhat anecdotal thread about the vernacular of NPC’s?
What kind of a world do we live in?!
Smelly warrior, smelly warrior,
What have you been killing?
Smelly warrior, smelly warrior,
It kinda is your fault.
;P

My reaction to Kasmeer’s remark on my Charr Warrior:
“Hey! Are you talking about me? You’re talking about me, aren’t you?!”
I am also deeply offended that Zhaitan killed my mentor. It wasn’t a very nice thing to do :_(
I agree. They need to be more careful with their dialogue. NPC told me “we can’t do much alone.” Does she have any idea who she is talking to?
Ha! I was a little insulted also, I took a few steps away from her after she said that.
Edit- Also made me like her character a fair bit less, which was a shame because I did quite like her before it.

But never permanently. It’s tied to your leg at one point or another for the rest of your life.
You’re not allowed to be a lone ranger.

Now I’m sorely tempted to buy a new character slot and make a warrior. He shall run around shirtless and his name? It shall be Kamina.
Just so I can shout at the npc’s when they say stuff like that. =P
The navy smells like sea water. The infantry smells like ground water. The air force smells like cologne.
I’m an infantry kinda guy.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

Thank goodness for that, I would rather have a pet than the other option!
