It’s great that you’re getting people out into various disused parts of the world, and this one in particular has a special privilege about it. It gives material gatherers something to do as well as doing the new content. This area is one of the best for soft wood logs, which so far, you haven’t corrected the recipe for crafting into planks.

Crafting a soft wood plank still takes 4 logs to accomplish, and everything else in the world (all other tiers) take only 3. This has been mentioned a number of times in the crafting section, and thus far it’s gone largely unnoticed, if not unanswered. While we have new content in this area, you’ve hit a potential goldmine with crafters as they’re right amongst the T2 trees, and crafting planks from logs will be more noticed and what will be more noticed is how far the soft wood logs don’t really go compared to other wood.

Give gatherers and crafters a bit more impetus to get out there and do what they do. {cough}ascended crafting{cough} Address this long-standing issue and revert the recipe to 3 logs per plank please.

Huh. I leveled up my huntsman recently, and I was wondering what made soft wood planks so much more expensive than expected. I didn’t notice the planks were taking four instead of three. Eesh.

I used to be a crafter like you. But then I took a soft wood log to the knee.

It hurts about as much as this over used joke.

But why does everything have to be equal?
So it takes 4.. so what? Maybe your character is just a crap carpenter who can’t work with soft wood very well, and consequently ends up throwing out 25% of all completed work because no one wants to buy it?

biofrog, maybe you wanna swing by the crafting area of the forums sometime, see how many threads on this have been made already. To this date nothing has been done about it. I’m just a voice, behind a lot of others.
