The short solo instance of ToN, I love it!
I liked it a lot too.
I got into it by accident. I was in another map and thought, well I guess it’s time to join the herd in Kessex and run from spot to spot. WP’d in and found myself in an instance. I loved it. Very atmospheric. Reminded me a great deal of the missions in Guild Wars 1. (I guess I miss instanced content more than I thought I would). I thought it was well done and was a good way to tell the players what was going on and some of what they needed to do (collect the plants for an antitoxin). A nice little bonus was finding out I could repeat it by talking to the NPC. I very much liked and appreciated that feature. I probably will do it at least once more to make sure I got all the details of what they said.
OMFG i had a nerdgasm when i did that so much fun loved it
I really liked the instance a lot too. The enemies actually using skills and the mission itself reminded me of gw1. I can’t say I liked the non instanced stuff.

It reminded me of GW1 too. The GW2 Cinematic finally catched up with GW1 standard, also the whole instance was similar to gw1 Mission <3 I really missed that. Finally it feels like its sequel of the previous game.
All 10 minutes of running down a path and killing Krait and Nightmare Court!!!! Wow, was so ground breaking!!!! Who would have thought of that I a million years?? I cant wait to play the same thing on my other characters too!!!
And the LORE…..my god the LORE!!! I learned so much about myself, Kessex Hills, Tyria, and other mysterious of the world. It was so….so….in depth!!!
And how awesome was the fact they used 2 female NPC’s for this? Its got to be a first, right? And the way the one in black talks to you like a 1960’s diner waitress! How awesome! That totally sucked me into the LS.
Now….I wonder who is behind all this?!?!? Its such a huge mystery since the past months have been about different evil people, with in depth motives, and cool backstorys right?!!!! Gee, I just wonder….
It was too easy and short. Should have been a 5 man instance

No. The purpose was for some exposition. It’s not a dungeon, nor is it supposed to be difficult. It would also be ridiculously impractical to FORCE a 5 man for people entering the zone…remember, this triggers upon zone entry.
This was the perfect way to do this.
Actually I think it counted as a dungeon. It gave me my monthly for completing it when I had only one Dungeon run left. (Which was a pleasant surprise.)
Initially I hated the way it just dropped me into it and I had a hard time with some of the torment thrown around. (I was on a low level alt Ele without any cond removal save one of my water skils.)
When I went back and tried again I found the characters interesting or at least funny, even if would have been nice to find some command orders to read off of Krait corpses or something. Overall I’ve enjoyed the event thus far.

Me too. My favorite living story personal instance by far. ANet is on the right track and keeps up with this style, and improve upon it
Characters- Levicus (Ele); Levicus Gear (Eng);
Levicus Shield (War)
I liked it too.
But what I liked even much more is, that it seems that they implemented a very long time suggestion from me to add to enemies also the downed state so that we have to finish them off, what makes fight look a bit more awesome and heroic.
In that little instance i felt for a long time ago again finally a bit heroic with my character searching for Kasmeer and Marjory and fightign alongside them against the Krait finishing of those foes with stylish moves (which would even be more fantasytic, if the finishign move wouldn’t always be the same, but would change in regard of how we kill the enemy, be it through
- with critical hit
- negative condition
- front behind
- from frontal attack
- from the sides
- did we self had at the moment more than 50% health or not.
There could be some factors that could decide which kind of finishing move we use to kill the enemy instead off always repeatign the same thing with impaling the enemy with a banner ect.
Class specific finishers would be so awesome
Sure, the instance could have been a bit more longer.. I would wished to see also something that comes into the game more like a GW1 Mission Format.. miss this so much for GW2.
