I’m purely referring to the Tower of Nightmares aspect of Antitoxin Spray here (the toxin cleanse only). This isn’t a thread about the balance or the “normal” effectiveness of the ability – it’s just about how it interacts with toxin-based stuff.
I tried it out during one of the spore offshoot events, and while it did remove the toxin the spore re-applied it to me in less than a second. Apart from healing me for a bit the antitoxin provided no benefit for these events. I was completely expecting do at least get some form of boon/status that protected me from it for a few seconds (“Antitoxin Residue” or something?).
Is this working as intended or not?
I assume the ability will become important later on, but at the moment it’s pretty pointless.
Yea I haven’t completely grasped the mechanics of the toxin and this spray. I ran toward the tower once and it suddenly stacked on me hard, knocking off big chunks of health. Cleanse and suddenly it’s on me again.
Another time I ran at the tower and nothing…no toxin.
Also, does it feel like it does pitiful healing?

I bought it straight away, used it during the instance and a couple of events, then switched back to Healing Spring because it seems more effective. I assume it will be more use later on, especially since Kasmeer is working on getting us into the tower so we’ll probably have a dungeon or something to do in there with a lot of enemies applying toxin.
Yeah I too am confused about this. It’s a really lousy heal that seems to really only be useful in removing Toxin, which nothing else removes, yet the condition is reapplied very quickly and the cd on the skill is 30 seconds which is really lousy for a healing skill. I changed back to my normal healing skill because it actually keeps me from dying…
My main engi has it and it’s a complete waste for that profession. So the big question is: are there any professions that will truly benefit from having this skill?
Nope, nor is is designed as such. It is pretty much in the same league as the racial skills, designed for adding flavor to PVE rather than being a viable alternative to profession skills. This to avoid confusing potential SPVPers.

it work pretty much like the necromancer Consume Conditions … the more conditions you have on you the more it heal …. however this skill is useless if you are hit by physical damage … it won’t heal enough if you don’t have conditions on you.
Can be useful to certain build , but on a Guardian with trait and shout that remove conditions + purging flame .. this skill is useless.
I’m wondering if it needs Healing Power to be good. I don’t know how it scales. But in zerker gear, I get much better actual healing from all of my profession-specific heals. If it didn’t take up a heal slot, it’d be a great condition cleanse utility.
