Why is this going to be released on Oct. 29 while the Halloween event is still going on? This makes no sense at all.

What, you say that in a living world, only 1 thing happens at a time? I don’t get it, why are you complaining exactly?

I am still holding out hope that there is more to halloween…

Because we have a two-week release schedule. Halloween goes all the way out to Nov. 11, and given the amount of content in Halloween (that is, I’ve finished most of what I’m going to do with it,) I’m glad we’re getting something new to do.

The obvious follow-up question is “Why isn’t this release Halloween-related?” For that, I’m afraid I have to write it off for stretching into November so far. Halloween will still be around, but I think it’ll mostly be for stragglers and diehard fans by that point.

Alternatively, maybe they didn’t want to spend two releases on seasonal content, instead of moving on to something a bit more permanent? Hm. We might have a better idea where this is going once we see the new release details.

I seem to recall the Halloween Events were going to be available until at least Nov 5th (maybe it was the 11th?). I agree that they are growing tiresome, but this new content may be just the ticket to take our minds off of it….

I would say all the releases during these last few months of 2013 (US Holiday Seasons) will be prone to exceptions to the normal release every 2 weeks.

Like Booger said, I’m holding out there will be more to Halloween yet, if there isn’t, I think they will have to consider it a failure this year. It’s just felt so empty compared to last.

The tower is a “monument to fear”.

So far the only “fear” I’ve seen is the fear that Scarlet is somehow going to be involved, but we’ll find out in about a day’s time.

Uhm, a “MONUMENT TO TERROR” by the Nuclear Plant alliance as someone so eloquently put it a thread or two ago, goes with the theme of halloween well enough.

Last year, we got a Halloween dungeon for the last three days, and Halloween actually ended on Nov 1 (IIRC).

This year, Halloween is confirmed to go until Nov 11, and we have the potential for a huge new tower in Kessex Hills that could easily be a dungeon…

Sounds to me like the two may be connected, but we’ll just have to wait another day to find out.

I’m pretty sure it’s ANet’s way of saying “Hey you know guys… Sure it’s halloween and festivities, but the enemy doesn’t care about that. They don’t share our holidays.”

There might even be more stuff to halloween coming though i doubt it except for mad king says.

Sarcasm? No idea if you are serious about yet another farm.

because scarlet has to get her leafy paws in everything to do with Gw2 and annoying the player base as much as possible

It makes sense that someone else should crop up while most would be distracted by the holiday. That’s actually typical plot for most stories.

Additionally, in what world do ‘events’ only happen one at a time? Things need to overlap, we need to actually have multiple events happening at once in order to achieve a ‘living’ world.

The fact that it’s a farm is what there is to complain about.

Ever been a farmer? Irl or otherwise?

It’s BORING.

We want something new. Something that isn’t an obvious time burner until they can get their kitten together for new content.

Halloween doesn’t progress the overall living story – it progresses its own living story (which we only see once a year). Wintersday will probably be exactly the same.

I was actually expecting this to be the case.
