A return to the "original" Destiny's Edge?
That would actually be pretty cool, although I really hope that Scarlet doesn’t end up being the villian in all of them if that’s the case.
Please, no more Destiny’s Edge. Or at least kill off Logan.
Yeah, I don’t know why they introduced Destiny’s Edge with the books and dungeons, likeable characters, and then replace them with “important” characters like Trahearne, Scarlet, and one Charr trying to get into a warband? I want to see Destiny’s Edge or at least characters that aren’t dull or unlikable.
Exactly! DE are believable, flawed characters who have a pretty well known story every player is introduced to.
Folks might not like Logan, but they know who he is, and why. I used think he was the most boring member of the team until
The interactions between Anise and Logan at the Jubilee. Things just got interesting…. !
Please, no more Destiny’s Edge. Or at least kill off Logan.
Don’t kill Logan, kill the queen. Logan’s actually pretty cool when he’s not being a brain-dead queen obsessed buffoon.
I think that refocusing on Destiny’s Edge would be kinda neat. It’s a way to expand on their characters in a way you don’t get from the personal story, and seeing as they are the main iconic characters (other than Trahearne) it’s only fitting that the story comes back to them eventually.

This would actually be the more interesting approach to take since Logan could go through some development stages and it might affect his relationship with Rytlock as well. On the other hand, he might just go completely emo, in which case it might be better off to leave him as he is.
I’m a bit more interested in what the Pact has been doing though. Are they still just sitting in Fort Trinity partying?
I’m hoping ANet will have a huge “story arc” for the pact and destiny’s edge related to one of the main dragons, maybe the one that there’s rumors about existing, or one of the ones not focused on much. It’d be a great way to kill off Trahearne too, give him a good death so we can remember him for something nice and be rid of him. -.-

She is. Her minions are in there at least. Can only expect her in there.
Also would be very cool if DE shows up here! Caithe needs back up and we’re not enough! Already a good sign that they’re taking character from the ‘main’ storyline into LS.

So far as I’m concerned, the best case scenario is that the queen brainwashed Logan with mesmer trickery, and he goes back to his ‘normal’ (pre-queen meeting in the book) self
Add Trahearne to the Destiny’s Edge and let him die while he is saying “This will not end well.”
I really don’t get why all the hate for Logan, Queen Jenna, and Trahearne. Even if I can see that a fair amount of it is sarcastic. (really the internet needs a sarcastic type of text for this stuff)

From my understand, the pact is not finished with the Risen and Orr yet. As mentioned in the Victory or Death mission (the celebration at Fort Trinity) final part, there is still a lot of risen to wipe out, as we see in Arah explore mode (which is post-Zhaitan defeat).

Destiny’s Edge. Goodie! I thought they were long gone and forgotten. I just wish for a more coherent story. Maybe everything is all but a mess since we don’t get the full picture, but I really wish that this Scarlet LS will still lead us to the revelation of the next dragon since I was extremely disappointed this was not the case with the GW2 anniversary surprise.
It would be cool to see Destiny’s Edge team grow like Braham and Rox joining them and also Trahearne.
later. It doesn’t care that I’m there.”

Trahearn isn’t actually that bad, his VA is just kinda bland, and he came into the story at what is probably the worse possible time: right when you lose you’re “bff” from the order, who had a kittenty death and who is in most cases the most interesting character you know at the time. On top of that, it’s also at the same time the player is being kicked out of their comfort zone again and being moved from ‘order quests’ to ‘pact quests’. So everyone’s set on the wrong foot when meeting him and have negative initial emotions. Then his infamy went viral and he now has an incredibly disproportional amount of hate aimed at him.
Hate for queen Jenna and Logan are hand in hand. All Logan does is whine and obsess over the queen in a generic, bland and annoying manner, which is why people hate him. On the flip side, Logan is pretty cool when he’s not obsessing over the queen, and was an over all cool character in the book before meeting the queen (everything about him literally took a 180 when they met), so it’s the queen ‘fault’ a good character is now unbearably annoying.
Please, no more Destiny’s Edge.
I don’t mind them individually (as they’re presented in the early stages of the Personal Story), but collectively I hate them. I hope they never reunite and I hope they’re never presented as a focal point of the story (side or otherwise) again.
I grew very tired of the same tired old lines being devliered by the DE protaganists for 30-40 levels of the Personal Story arc. If the writers can engineer a departure from all of those old relationships, then I would be interested in seeing how DE develops.

I’d rather see them make a clean break…just finalize the divorce and go their separate ways. Destiny’s Edge, as they’re currently constituted, do little more than deliver fictional guild drama. Destiny’s Edge, as a fully functional guild, do little more than shove our characters aside as they Mary Sue their way to saving the world. As five individuals who never speak nor think of one another, they’ve got potential to deliver race-specific lore and flavor. That’s the way to go, in my opinion.
