New path is very well done! Hoping for more.
I think they should keep the rewards as they are now even when the living story chapter concludes. Otherwise people will flock to the easier dungeons for easier rewards. I doubt many will risk spending an hour and a possible fail if in that same timeframe they can run cof 1, se 1 and 3 and hotw 1 and get more rewards.
The path is well made for story mode. For explorable, not so much. It’s not only about rewards but also unskippable cutscenes.
I was worried about that when they showed the preview. Sadly, there are unskippable NPC dialogues not only at the start but throughout the dungeon. I can see how that can be really annoying after 3-4 runs let alone 10-20.
Frankly, it’s been designed as story mode with explorable mode rewards but the latter only for 2 weeks if you compare its rewards/time to most of the other explorable paths.
Worst part is that they are happy with these new cutscenes and future revamps will include them. Are they expecting people to listen to those boring dialogues over 20 times when someone wants to farm tokens for armour/weapons?
It is a fun path, but the rewards need to be turned up if people are going to keep doing it. You can do TA Up and Forward for more rewards in the same (or less) time. If they make it worth twice as much as those two, and make the cutscenes skipable, it will probably be fun enough to keep players coming.
Funnily enough, if you want to do old TA paths you have to watch initial dialogue that takes about 2 minutes.

Um..you can skip through that though. Unless they added a new one? Oh wait…you have to watch Caithe and Turma talk….sigh.
I agree I love dungeons and this was one of the most thought out paths I have seen up till this point. The mechanics were awesome and would absolutely love to see more content like this in the feature.
Also the touch of events after was quite interesting as well. However, I doubt I will run this path frequently if the rewards are reduced since it takes a fair bit of time to run for a measly 2g
I agree; it’s ranger friendly too. Pets are invulnerable to some aoe (like the fire in the ooze/gear walk) and mainhand axe even bounces off the boss’s gear spinner attack. That’s really cool because everyone knows ranger axe is weak without a bounce. And the last boss really is less of a dps race and more of a teamwork positioning battle. Very well done and even designed keeping rangers in mind
Just completed it tonight. I enjoyed it very much.
