First off I’d like to say before we begin, yes I have beaten path two consistently with my guild, this is not about who can and cannot beat it but rather the consequences of have three paths rather than four. And there is a Tl;dr at the bottom.

For those who are unaware, with the release of ascended weapons came the release of new inscriptions to make most if not all the current stat combos. For those who run TA enough know that one of the exotic weapon sets the vendor sells is rabid stat type. Basically when you salvage one of these weapons you have a uncommon to rare chance in salvaging the inscription on addition to the possible globs of dark matter and ectoplasm. The cheapest of these are the offhand weapons which cost 210 deadly blooms.

Now it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what would happen if TA was simply given a fourth path rather than the removal of a single path. In a full path run of four paths would yield 240 blooms, enough to buy one of these weapons outright and a shot at a four to five gold profit. While initially ppl would be making a tidy profit, everyone who is skilled at path two would be running it along with the new path salvaging these weapons and flooding the market with inscriptions and globs of ectoplasm.

Some people may think this isn’t bad but if you notice -no- other dungeon that has weapons that can salvage for inscriptions have more than three paths sans Arah. Even Arah has it’s own way of regulating the amount of tokens due to it’s sheer length of each path.

Tl;dr while I’m sad path two was removed, it’s for the better since it keeps the market from Bering flooded with rabid inscriptions and globs, killing their value.

Thank you for taking your time to read.
