I think that it’s kinda neat how they’ve been refocusing on DE. When you start playing, you have this very vague idea of their relationships and personalities, even after the 1-30 story plus dungeons. We don’t know much about them.

So let’s make a list… We had a little of Eir and Rytlock during Flame and Frost, we just saw Logan at the Queen’s Jubilee, and now we have Caithe. All we’re missing is Zojja.

Anyone else happy that they’ve returned to the main iconic characters of the game?

Please. Rytlock only shows up twice in Flame and Frost (Once when telling Braham off, then again when he’s giving Rox her first mission) and not seen again since. (That watchknight impersonating him doesn’t count.)

Eir’s only around to confirm to everyone that Braham is indeed her son, despite the fact that she didn’t have one up until he was inserted into the story. (Even she sounds annoyed that she suddenly has one.) She does nothing to help besides telling us to help Braham out, which is sad when you recall how she rushed to help the Kodan in the Honor of the Waves. (Granted, she wanted to die a hero’s death, but still.) I still think making Braham be Eir’s son was stupid and unnecessary.

Logan’s only accomplishment in all of Queen’s Jubilee is to beat up a watchknight until it turns into Rytlock, then be ineffectual and emo over how he’s being left out of the major decisions involving the queen when Countess Anise is doing a much better job of protecting her.

Hopefully Caithe will be doing something besides telling us to do all the hard work.

And I’ve noticed Zojja wasn’t in her lab when I checked there last time, so I’m hoping she’s actually up to something more interesting than all of this.

Zoija is on vacation after making a killing selling her ascended receipes.

Agreed. It may have seemed like an interesting idea at the time for the devs, and at first it sounded okay. But since then I have found Braham’s existence to be as you said unnecessary. They could’ve made him just another norn NPC, but no. They had to add something weird to get your attention.

Yo yo yo, dun’ be bashing my Bro’ham. He’s the coolest character in the GW2 so far, dun’ be hatin’!

I think getting Zojja back in game is largely dependent on getting Felicia Day to do the voice work…She did a vlog back in March (State of the Sundry), I think, that gave me the impression that she was shying away from main-stream gaming…but who knows…I might have taken the wrong tone from the video.

Hopefully we’ll discover Caithe has actually learned how to fight and not just go splat at the first sign of a boss…

Dodging NPC thieves, that would be a miracle.

there has been a lot of speculation into whether or not they are building a second DE to take the mantle and re-fight Kralk, opening the crystal desert for us to explore, (desert gate).

Do we really need another Destiny’s Edge? >.>
