So with the new content are the old story mode and explorable paths gone forever, just for the event, or their just adding Twilight Assault as an option like when you walk into the entrance and you get the 2 options of enter Story or enter Explorable mode

I don’t know for certain but to me it wouldn’t make sense for them to remove the other parts of the dungeon since the dungeons are all part of the main storyline of Destiny’s Edge.

No, the dungeon popup will probably offer a new “Explorable (Scarlet) (level 80)” option to enter that path. Well that’s what I think because it’s not the same level and for balance purpose I don’t see otherwise.

I’m sure there will be changes to most dungeon paths, especially TA. A vast majority of players have problems with the F/U path boss, and Colin Johanson mentioned in the thread that TA is near the top of their list for dungeon Re-vamps. I expect there to be some changes, but generally the same path.

I’m also hoping there will be some slight changes to other dungeons as well. Making some more balanced, and hopefully making Arah p4 much more rewarding than any other dungeon.

Does it matter? You’re still going to do it once and forget about its existance, just like with molten facility and aetherblade retreat. I guess you can farm achievement points since this game is all about that.

this new path will be permanent, not 2 weeks time limited, right?

We don’t know yet, they said that they want more permanent content, and since invasions stayed…. I’d imagine it would be permanent.

According to dulfy and gw2hub the new path is permanent, but neither provide any source directly from anet.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

They’re planning something radically new and different, that wanted to implement a long ago, but did not have time (ths to impatient producers, as u could guess). The new path will be full of different puzzles, alternative ways, hiden rooms and secrets, with chests at the end, ofc. Not without reason devs mentioned that there will be something to do even after killing the last boss.

As I understand, they’re going to redo all the dungeons in future. You must have noticed that present dungeons are full of empty places, some (such as AC) even have obvious unfinished puzzles. Chests and mobs planned to be there. So think about this like a first step to a readjustment in all dungeons, like Tequila is the first step to readjustment of all bosses.

I think this is a neat attempt to find out the opinion of the players and, after evaluation of feedbacks, they’ll decide is it worth it.

so the game is finally close to getting out of beta? does this mean we will get guild halls too?

If this is true, I wonder what it could mean for Arah story mode. Imagine the things they could do with that dungeon, now that they have time, especially if TA is a huge success and they’re willing to really go all out..

I think I’d be the happiest person in the world if the Zhaitan fight was overhauled and they put his corpse (updated model naturally) back in explorable mode.

That’s what i am afraid of.

I needed that laugh. But as somebody mentioned, you’ll run it a few times then get bored with it. When was the last time you ran all the current dungeons and their respective paths? It’s not as bustling as some may think (minus the few that you can speed farm).
