Greets,

The patch notes list two items that change after two weeks:

  • During the Twilight Assault release, the number of deadly blooms and empyreal fragments awarded for completing the Twilight Arbor Aetherpath will be increased.
  • After the release, they (Aether Key Pieces) will only be found in the Tarnished Coast and Steamspur Mountain areas.

Just wondering what/if there are any other limited time frames for the rest of the dungeon path(s), rewards, achievements etc?

Looking from the outside, it sounds like after the two weeks are up we will still be able to accomplish everything this patch has to offer? Yes, I’m thinking it might be good to spend less hours in-game for a bit

Just the meta for the Living World achievement. The ones under the Dungeons tab will be permanent.

This release has very little time-limited content. As you’ve noticed, there are some boosts to encourage people to play the new path (increased rewards, widened Aether Key Piece drops,) but the only thing that’s exclusively timed is the meta achievement, which means the achievement points and the Slickpack armor skin are the only thing that’s miss-able in this release.

All of the new achievements (and the corresponding mini reward) are permanent, as are the new weapon skins and path.

Excellent news! I’m glad to see that ANet has really taken the feedback from players about the strict time-gating of content to heart. With only 10 dailies to complete the Meta, it should be fairly easy to complete over the course of the month too, even with Halloween taking up the last two weeks.

EDIT: Actually, I would like confirmation from ANet that the bonus content after the last boss in the Aetherblade path is defeated WILL be staying. (I’m talking about the bit where Lionguard Turma shows up, and the extra achievements such as “Above and Beyond”.) Dungeon paths as a general rule seem to be frozen in time, but it occurs to me that the bit about the Lionguard seeking revenge MIGHT be removed in the future because it might make no sense to newer players who missed out on the first Dragon Bash and the initial Aetherblade/Scarlet invasions.

I had the meta completed last night after doing the dungeon for the first time ever. Didn’t pay any attention to achievements then as we were busy enough figuring out dungeon mechanics – still got 9/17 dungeon achievements completed on the way plus the daily for running it, voila, done.

I also understand the achievements included in the dungeon section to be permanent.
