I will be heart broke if the Mad King and the Labyrinth don’t return. I will also be upset if Scarlet upstages him. Mad King was my fav event last year and to date is my fav event since the games release. Maybe the Mad King will kill Scarlet!

Mad King did not start until Oct 22nd last year. He will be back this year…do not worry yourself so.

Anet should know by the popularity of the Mad King event. That a little over one week is too short for this festival.

Dragon Bash was only a 3rd as good as Halloween, but it still got one whole month.

There are updates for Oct 15th and 29th, both before Halloween. I imagine both will be Mad King/Halloween-related.

mad king i am sure will have new jokes for us
as well as plenty of puzzles and candy corn or new mini, costumes
i miss the mad king also :P
i hope that clock puzzles is still there to complete lol

It doesn’t matter what he does. Aetherblades will just invade Lion’s Arch or something, it will be a typical GW2 celebration lol

@ Drafigo thanks for posting this I have the same worries , the RS(LS) is so random that i feel that the devs will not bring back the festivals (halloween and wintersday).

Is there no one who does ANY research or know anything at all before posting? Stay informed please. The devs have mentioned many many many many many times that the Mad King will indeed be back.

I’d hate to say it but mad king has been a staple in guild wars since 2005.

I can’t wait until I have a legit reason to spam bad jokes with the costume again (not), and maybe just maybe we could get a mad king related combat tonic with a shorter cooldown than then watchknight one.

Also, obviously they are going to try sell permanent scarecrow finishers.

How much you want to bet they nerf the ToT bag farming this year… (more than they already had). I look forward more to Halloween update than the next one.

We didn’t get the Mad King Says game last year did we? Kinda miss that. Will be more hilarious this time now that more people can be shown.

As much as that dern Clocktower JP almost made me rage quit video games (yes, all of them), I still miss it.

We did. It was as a joke in the dungeon instance, and a periodical event in Lion’s Arch itself – participating in the event gave you a Witch Hat (though you were able to get it from an NPC later on).

me and the mad king go aways back almost ten years well eight would miss him if he didnt show but i read somewhere that anet are going to redo the holidays events and add extra stuff to them so im sure ill see him this year too the old pumpkin head

It’s been so long I’ve forgotten that. I think I only did the final thing in LA a couple times, that might be why…

He’ll probably appear in the october 15 or the october 29 patches… we just finished rebuilding the Lion’s Arch fountain just in time for him to destroy it again..

This crap better not be replacing the mad king.

I better get to finally see The Mad King, heard about him all year!
