Is there a way for noobs who are Level 2 and still in the initial map area to get to Lion’s Arch for the Wintersday activities? How?

Go to your Capital City there should be a portal to LA in all of them

Yes there is, there is an Asura Gate (big ring with a purple portal) in every city that leads to Lion’s Arch. The entrance to your city will be right behind the place you spawned after the starter instance.

Yes, it’s pretty easy. Go to your home city and take the Asuran Portal to Lions Arch. All racial home cities have a portal to LA.

What I also do (I find it quickest) is to teleport to the heart of the mists using the sPvP button, and then take the portal there. This is helpful at all times when you want to get back to LA without having to spend the high waypoint costs at level 80.

an alternate, maybe even easier way would be to enter the heart of the mists by clicking the cross swords icon at the top left hand side of the screen. if it’s your first time there there’s a brief pvp tutorial. afterwards there’s a portal inside leading directly to lion’s arch.

This sounds much more complicated than it is, but there is a way to get directly to Lion’s Arch:

You need to finish your race’s PvE tutorial first.

As soon as you’re finished with that, there will be a crossed sword icon on the top left of your screen that will open the ‘Heart of the Mists’ window. On the upper left of that window, there is a button that says “Go to the Heart of the Mists.” Click it.

If it’s the first time you’re using the button on that character, the button will take you to the Starting Tutorial Area. Finish the three hearts there, and you will be transported to the Heart of the Mists, which is the PvP staging area.

You can ignore everything in the Heart of the Mists if you want. Your goal is the Asura Gate (big purple portal), which takes you directly to Lion’s Arch.

You can use this method no matter what level you are. It’s a free way to get to Lion’s Arch from anywhere in the game.
