Just curious if it is worth investing time in doing Wintersday events. My main is level 72 and it seems like I won’t get much reward as opposed on focusing on obtaining level 80. But if the rewards are more than cosmetic I will give it a shot.

Is it worth it for a (main character) level 72 to partake in these events? If so what are the advantages? Can I get some loot that isn’t just cosmetic?

Not much except mini pet or tonic that turns you into toy.
Also normal blue green item for completing dungeon.
The weapon skin is cheap on tp so it is fine for not doing any wintersday event.

You can participate all the events this week once Tixx moves to Lion’s Arch, so you may try to level to 80 this week and play the events next week.

You can get a plushie griffon. That’s way more than enough to make it worth doing.

Ok, sound good. Exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you. Just didn’t know if it was worth it to the invest the time that I do have on a vanity event or not.

The event is less about getting “powerful items” and more about getting “fun items”. For example, everything you do of the three mini-games (jumping puzzle, bell choir, and snowball mayhem) gives you items that you can exchange quantities of for unique weapon skins, snowballs, and consumable bells.

Even doing the instance of Tixx’s airship give you rewards of piece you can either make non-combat mini pets out of or non-combat endless tonics.

So, the point of participation: Have fun and be jolly.

I like the bell game and snowball mayhem. The puzzle not so much. Try it!
