Played a lot of other games the last days because of the sales on Steam and GMG. Now that we are nearing the end of Windersday I have one question:

Are there different rewards from the Blacklion Chests during Wintersday like with Halloween? Chance on getting stuff from Wintersday from them? Or is the Wintersday stuff only from the Wintersday gifts you buy from the gem store?

I’m asking because I have still a few keys from map completion and story rewards and if they was a chance to get different stuff you could only get during this event I would open some of the chests at the last day.

I don’t think there are any special rewards in the Black Lion Chests, hopefully after the mess they made of Halloween drops at first they won’t try that ever again. (Although the rediculous random chance for account bound minis system this time is nearly as bad.)

But if you’ve got the keys why not use them anyway? If they have changed them you’ll get a chance at Wintersday items, if not you’ll get the same stuff you would normally.

I’m pretty sure the normal BL chests haven’t changed. They went they same way as with the Lost Shores one and made completely separate ones (with specific items (minis namely) that can only be gotten from them).

No, they will announce if the chests are any different for the holiday.

I opened about 30 during wintersday and no difference in items.

They added Glory Boosters and a Heavy Bag of Coins. That was about it. The rest of the changes for the Wintersday patch were rebalancing drop rates / lowering tonic drop rates / etc.
