I was under the impression that the toy frames could ONLY be used for the toys, and I believe others thought the same thing. But now it seems that there are Tonics you can make with them. So, can we please get a way to turn the toy back into a frame or to get another one? I just think it’s a little unfair that the tonics were kept secret.

There was a description on the frame.

“Combine in the mystic forge with 250 mystical cogs, wads of enchanted stuffing, and drops of magic glue to make a Toy Soldier mini pet.”

I see nothing about having an option to craft Tonics.

A huge portion of this game is exploration and discovery. Anyone could have stuck that frame in the mystic forge and tried to see what would go with it.

This is how people have discovered all of the neat weapons and other things.

Now you know.

You spent it at your own risk since Mystic Forge is used for discoveries, you knew how to make the toy.

just make a Plush Griffon tonic.

He is talking about the endless tonics you can make that consume the frame. Some people made the toys before knowing the recipe existed, so now they can’t make the endless tonic.

But the thing is out of hundreds of thousands of players with those frames, anyone had the ability to play with them in the Mystic Forge to see what would come out. If you decided to jump the gun and make the toy, before even knowing what all five toys would look like, then it’s on you, not Anet for putting in little easter eggs for people to discover.

What are these tonics? I never heard of them.

Endless tonics that turn you in to the toy. Theres a thread with a video that has the recipe on page one.

Exactly this. Its not like this is the first item that could be used in multiple recipes. Its pretty much par for the course.

I learned some valuable lessons playing games back in the 1980s.

1) If you don’t know what it’s good for, HOLD ON TO IT.
2) If you might want it, HOLD ON TO IT.
3) Never destroy or sell anything you can’t replace.

Sure I end up with a lot of useless stuff taking of space (candy powered matter meter) but if it turns out I DO want it later for some currently unknown reason, I have it.

Amazing. I didn’t even know there was an MF recipe until this thread alerted me to that fact.

For those that are interested.
The endless tonic recipe is:

50 x Wads of enchanted stuffing
50 x Drops of magic glue
1 x Frame (of the type of toy you’d like to make)
1 x Glittering dust

Place all of these into the Mystic Forge and out comes an endless tonic (please not that it may take several tries to make it)
