Prior to the box’s removal which was near Tixx in LA. I got my gifts after a day later i logged in and i got mail again with Tixx Gift. Is this supposed to be bug and are we allowed to have 2 rewards ? Which clearly the wiki said one per acc. Or this is extra reward?

The chests bugged out and didn’t give rewards to everyone, they had to mail it out to make sure everyone got it (although some people are saying they didn’t get it).

If you were able to get the items from one of the two chests, then consider it an extra reward.

No, it’s not safe. Unlike the situation with the players who dishonestly obtained thousands of karma weapons for virtually nothing in the weeks following the launch of the game, they’re going to come down on you like a sack of hammers.

Yes. And since they didn’t have the ability to remove them from players inventories, they made them promise to delete them or risk further non-action.

If I remember correctly, in ArenaNet’s defense they did ban the abusers for 3 whole days, or something.

I think you’re safe here. I’m sure they were well aware that some people were going to end up with additional Wintersday gifts, but accepted that this was likely the easiest way to deal with the problem they were originally having.

There was another thing with Karma and food items where you bought the items entirely with Karma (for for minor amounts of copper) and made food that you could sell for pure profit. Anyone who was streaming themselves doing it earned a permanent ban. It also led to changes in how you were allowed to interact with anything purchased with Karma for better or for worse.

Back on topic though, yeah you are safe. The original fix for the problem failed, so they accepted that they had to push a different fix that would have some people get double the rewards.

Come to think of it, didn’t that also happen for the Lost Shores? The compensation mail for people who attended but didn’t get the chest at the end or had to leave and stuff went to some people who had done the event one/two/three times (depending if you were able to find the right overflows for it or not).

I dont think it was same for lost shores. I got my reward from the chest and yet again i didnt get mail but this case is different

There are two rewards:
-Normal rewards
-PvP rewards

Both should be able to be openen, but because of a bug this was not possible, if you have opened the chest in LA, you could not open the chest in Heart of the Mists and vice versa.

I believe I did receive the Tixx gift thing in my mail a few days ago, but I was on an alt I just created that day so I only read the mail and did not retrieve the contents.
I did not keep that alt as I deleted it to recreate another look.

Now I got back on my main and I can’t find that mail anymore…
Did that mail get deleted together when I deleted that alt I read the mail with?

Some kind of mail bug?

It’s ok to open it if you got a second one, consider it an extra Wintersday gift. We wanted to be sure everyone got one, even if it meant some people got two (better than some people getting zero)

And thank you for the extra cheer! I didn’t even know there were PvP finishers when I picked up my PvE Wintersday gift, so now I’m happy to have them through the mail gift.
