It would be nice if they implemented the feature they had in GW1, where you can choose the skin to wear without disrupting stats and such. There was a selection on the profile section of your char to add costumes and select to wear them anywhere!

Townclothes = GW2 costumes. Basicly the same thing but functioning slightly differently.

Personally I like how it works atm, but would like more reasons to show off townsclothes/costumes. And pls oh pls the option to toggle it so you can automaticly show townsclothes when entering any of the 6 cities.

I guess we will be able to get those as townsclothes/costumes too.

Zeefa, while it’s not automatic, you can keybind townclothes to toggle on and off. I have mine on Num Pad – and it works anywhere in the world.

I really want those clothes. On all my alts. Good thing I’ve only bought gems for a makeover kit this month, and thus can justify a large self-present of gems! Or maybe I’ll get my husband to buy me gem cards at Best Buy. He’s always wondering what to get me >.>

Why do you think that?

Card is $15 for 1200 gems, that’s 1.25 cents/gem or $.0125/gem same as buying from the gem store. You have to pay sales tax, but given the trouble the NCSoft payment processor has been having lately I think that’s a worthwhile investment.

I am 100% buying that sexy outfit if that is the costume. So nice!

I hope this doesn’t come off as overly negative, but I find town clothes to be useless.

If they were armor skins, I would buy them all… As town clothes, I’d only ever see them while I was picking up items at the trading post, and using the bank. Because of this, they are a complete waste of money for me.

If town clothes were to offer bonuses to crafting or some other areas like karma discounts at merchants or something they would be of more interest to more people. This would still allow them to be useless in battle or skinned onto combat outfits but would give a use for them out of combat.
