No this is not an RNG complaint rage thread.

The events were fun for a bit, even if toypocalypse was a little on the boring/unrewarding side. Sorry Anet but this event was rather underwhelming in total

1. My biggest complaint is these pets. Not about not getting them but having so many, so freaking many!. 4+ of each wintersday box type and still you won’t allow us to do anything with them.

2. When you get a special event, once a year weapon skin or item it should feel awesome, envious. No, I have several of each weapon skin and the sale price on the market is a joke. A handful of bronze at most. Really? What am I going to do with my “luck” of getting 5 popgun skins from boxes when they are selling for 20 bronze.

3. The events got repetitive and boring very quickly, all that intentional recycling content in the tixx ship got annoying. I didn’t find doing the same thing over and over with 1 or 2 new things tossed in “fun” after I’ve done it twice.

I was lucky. I had gold and money to spend on gems, I did have a good haul of gold from selling one of those contract things, that is about the only plus to all of this, I just don’t think every event item should be spammed to hell so that 99% of what you can get is worth less than trash drops.

Right now its rather anything good is account bound, and everything else is garbage. I’m not saying everything has to be worth a thousand gold or anything like that but seriously the black and white extreme is ridiculous.

Skins should be rare, atleast some of them, not that every single skin can be gotten very easily.

Pets need to be tradeable, end of….

When I open my stocking on Christmas morning, I really don’t care if everyone else got the same as me, as long as I like what I got(love those dark chocolate marshmallow snowmen)…. I certainly don’t try to return anything for a profit.

Then again, I learned my lesson with buying random boxes for cash a few games ago, especially for something that I can’t even legally use images of outside of this medium without permission.

Anyway, as far as events go this was alright even though I absolutely detest the snowball mayhem and yes I tried to complete the achievements, enough to be killed about 100 times or so.:/

I don’t have a mesmer or a warrior so basically was an easy kill for the other team every single time, not to mention I have never pvp’d past a little bit in UO and could never get my mind past the whole killing thing, beasts for food etc or defending my life from toys on steriods and evil npcs alright, but other real live players, no thanks.

Certainly after trying this and still only getting 3/5 for stopping the other team and NO deliveries myself because none of the “teams” i were on were supporting anyone else trying to do it, I can’t see myself ever wanting to play again though I’d love to finish all the Wintersday achievements, those are the last two I need.

My last word on the Snowball Mayhem, why in the world are we forced onto teams when the achievements are not? It’s bad enough to have to fight the other teams to get the gifts but your own team members, that’s just bad form imo.
