Is there any way I can do this event with my girlfriend? For example, if we just keep joining, and rejoining what are the chances we will get in the same event?

She really wants to try this later, but she’s (and me), pretty cranky that we can’t do it together.

What do you mean you can’t do it? Form a party and one of you 2 should right click the name of the other and press join in LA. this way you’ll be in the same overflow, is that’s what you mean.

Toypocalypse is set up as “hot join” for 8 random people. You don’t have a choice of who is in it. You might increase your chances by clicking on the “enter” answer at exactly the same time.

I guess the chances of landing in the same event are pretty slim at peak times. You might want to try at off times if this is somehow doable for you. However, leaving when you do not end up together might be considered kitten kittening kitten by those other people in your respective teams who actually wanted to play the Toypocalypse. So, unless you are looking for ways to make yourself unpopular you might want to settle for a “maybe next year” if you absolutely have to play this together.

For a second I thought that I will see in this topic a “guide on how to find a gf in Toypocalipse”… Or a story of a love at first sight during the toy-slaughtering mayhem… xD

The more we read about people leaving once a Dolyak dies, the splitting up the party, lack of decent rewards, and the monotonous repetitiveness of the event, my girlfriend and I have decided to skip it.

What a shame. This is a sour end to an otherwise cool week long event. I’m going to write my review later, but for now, it’s time to log and enjoy some time outside.

I wish there was a staging area so that we could prepare first and organize. Strategy obviously makes a difference but there is no time to strategize.

And having users read the rules for 5 minutes while taking a slot in the instance is stupid. Rules should be available outside.
