After opening 38 Mystery Boxes, I got my first mini (Infinirarium). It took 32 additional Mystery Boxes to get 2 more minis (both Snowmen).

Therefore it cost me $70 to get 3 minis, which I turned into Foostivoo the Merry. I brought him out and watched him, and watched him, and he just sits there like a lump. Does he ever animate?

Now I just feel icky and ashamed for spending so much real money, betting against the long odds to get minis at all. I love GW2, but that really took all the cheer out of the holiday event for me. I can’t even bring myself to run the events.

He stands up and looks left and right on occasion. I think he makes a doo doo dooee sound but its so rare and quiet you’ll never notice it. He also looks extremely depressed. I have him, he’s alright. I didn’t spend that much money to get him, opened roughly 20 boxes to get the minis to craft him. I do regret it however.

I feel icky and ashamed every time I see a Black Lion Chest or “mystery box” of any sort.

They’re promoting gambling, and they aren’t even doing it ethically, morally, and legally by providing the exact odds of winning.

Eventually, perhaps, they’ll learn that having people gamble on things just to be disappointed makes people loathe things like Foostivoo, which should otherwise be cute and happy.
