Ok, I’ve played a few rounds of this and I’m struggling to figure out how I’m supposed to enjoy this in any way. The rounds take forever, the weapons are slow and plodding, I don’t heal after combat, the Dolyaks don’t heal either, it just seems like a real chore all around, just an endless deathmarch toward failure. Is there some mechanic I’m missing here?

Yes. Smash the trees to find scrap and snow, and use it to construct siege.

This explains pretty much everything you need, such as how to heal and how to heal the dolyaks..

op you are correct with the march towards failure, ESkan’s comment about siege is just to prolong the agony. Enjoy! lol

I find it really boring too. I don’t understand how this is supposed to be the great finale.. Am I missing something?

I think the idea of it is quite fun. It’s just people with no clue who don’t read instructions, don’t build sieges, and don’t CC toys that makes it somewhat tedious at the moment. Hopefully after a couple days they will move on so I can actually play it without feeling like I’m the only one doing anything at all :S

I found it really fun…in my 2nd attempt we strategized, built walls, with catapults behind and snowmen as the front line…got both achievs with ease. very fun.

My problem is that for the amount of time we spend on the mini game, it doesn’t reward us with anything substantial. I feel like my time could be better spent somewhere else.. Is there any good reward if we finish all 10 waves of toypocalypse?

Maybe if they doubled the speed by which mobs spawn it would be more fun.. As of now it just feel tedious.. I don’t know if the personalized gifts are substantive enough but I only get wools from them so yea, kinda disappointed here.

It really is a bit boring, in my opinion.
What kinda ruins it I think is the fact that 2 waves repeat over and over with no difference at all for 5 times xD Well… Maybe they scale up a bit in difficulty, but not really much. Though maybe it’s just my expectations for a prize were a bit higher I think that for the time spent there we should get something special at least on the first run, just like we did in Tixx dungeons these days~
But anyway, I’ve got into really good team and we completed it on the first run :P
And of course I enjoyed slaughtering these little screaming innocent lady-doll pests with my super duper poooper toy sniper rifle. Pop! Headshot! Pop! Headshot! Bring your dauhg…toy to the slaughter!

Next time just try reading the introduction at the beginning of the match. It is there for a reason.

Except that you can’t join as a party, you’re thrown in with 4 other randoms who have no idea what’s going on, don’t communicate, and quit as soon as anything bad happens, not to mention that if you take the time to type out any instructions, dolyaks are dead by the time you hit enter.

This event is a complete failure due to the forced PuGging.

Game enjoyment increases as time spent on the forums decreases.

I did, of course. There was nothing about how to have any fun in there.

I did manage to beat ten rounds, but we were down to one dolyak by the 5th round.
There are elements of fun in there, but way too much frustration for the fun to rise above the surface.
