What was the thought process in making the decision that we couldn’t join activities with our friends?

I think as a group oriented game, developers would see that we would want to do activities with our friends and guild mates.

It’s apparently a technical limitation that they didn’t have time to hammer out before the holiday. See this post.

…what love is….I want you to show m-

Woops, very deceiving title :p

On your question I’d say it’s probably because activities are instances with a set limit for how many can enter. Allowing people to enter in bunches might conflict with that, and they way they coded it.

But you are raising a valid point. I would have loved to do the jumping puzzle with my mates but we got split in 2 groups. We were all on mumble so it was still fun as we were still “in touch”, but would have been better if we actually were together.

Maybe a kind community coordinator sees the validity of this question and brings it to a designer who might give us a proper answer to this question.

EDIT : thanks Urthona for the link

That’s the thing. It can’t just be this event, it’s EVERYTHING. Such a simple thing that many other games implement. Grouping up as a party
