If they made an actual plush griffon, I would buy it. It wouldn’t even have to move. Just be the same relative size it in in-game. And I doubt I’d be the only one.

You get the frame back if it fails so you can make it again. What you would worry about is wasting gold on buying the mats over and over.

Ah, thank you very much! I’m willing to risk the mats since I can farm/buy more. The frames however I wouldn’t have been able to haha.

I’m an asura, and Mr. Fluffywings, my plushy griffon, is not only supercuddly and awesome, but is also as big as me! I could even ride it! Finally I won’t feel cold anymore when exploring Frostgorge sound with him!

Everyone has a griffon plushie now, so they are meh at best. Can I haz a kitten mini-pet please? Make it black and white.

Try deleting some of your mails. Usually why mine gets back up.

Pretty much me every time I see my mini griffon following behind me.

I swear the first time the group ran Tixx that day we nearly failed it. We were so <refer to Sera.6539 picture above> that the 1 player who was guarding the lone ventari toy screamed HELP ME! into party chat was the only way way we snapped out of it. Honestly 4 players distracted instantly due to their “Bishie-ness”

All I can say is WELL DONE ANET!! and whoever designed that toy DESERVES a bonus. I even overheard a guildie say “Nothing else matters in this game now that I have this griffon”

Edit: To add a +1 to creation of a RL plushie. As long as it is actual size as it is to our characters, I would pay at least 50 bucks, any smaller then I suppose 30 but the bigger the better. I would love a GW plushie because that charr one currently is fugly!

I stand corrected. I like the Toy Golem and made the mini.

You need 250 of the Gears from Dungeon. They give us enough to make 2 mini so you need to of made at least 3 of the events. I heard you can still do the ones you missed when Tixx goes to Lion’s Arch though.

Same here, only by repeatedly chanting “Must Kill Plushie” were we able to kill them them off. And then when we saw the waist high pile of dead Griffons did we all stop and cry :,(

The noises for the Toy Soldiers is the best. The pop pop of the guns is just great

I love it so much, it’s great and far nice than them boring Quaggans (i really don’t like them), i just wish they could fix the follow speed so it stays beside/near me.

Still not as good as the mini robots though, as an Asuara i will always place my robot pets over any other pet.

Is it just me or does the proliferation of griffons make any one else think of a plot some where between Needfull Things and I Robot?

Twas the night before winters, when all through the pit
Not a creature was stirring, not even a skritt.
The griffons were cuddled beside us with care,
In hopes that Tixx soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of plushies danced in their heads.
And I in my town clothes my pet on my right
Had just settled in for a quiet winter’s night.

When in lions arch there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the fractal to see what’s the matter.
Away to the waypoint I flew like a flash,
Tore open the package and threw up the cash.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old Sura,
And I laughed when I saw him, and ruptured my pleura!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had something to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
he signalled the griffon, it turned with a jerk.
And laying its beak aside of my neck,
it started its feeding and chomping like heck!

He sprang to his blimp, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he flewout of sight,
“muuuhhhaahhhaa”

By the way, my previous comment about burning heretics was made in jest. I do not actually condone violence towards my fellow players no matter how amazingly wrong they may be.

Unless, of course, I come across them in sPvP or WvW in which case, and provided I’m playing my guardian or elementalist, I will in fact try to set them of fire.

These little plush gryphons are the most diabetes-inducing heart-grabbing hnnngggg things this season, by far.

i haven’t had time to play these past few days. so hoping to catch up when Tixx hits LA. that being said, i MADE SURE i had time to get on yesterday to go for the Griffon!DD

I’ll sell ya the rights to the name in exchange for one tiny snowflake. I think that’d be an appropriate payment for both the season and the extensive amount of work I put into creating that name

To all the people complaining on other threads about Wintersday, I want to say, “Stop. Look into your griffon’s plushie eyes. Bask in its adorableness. Become one with its fluffiness. Then let your troubles drift away on little squeaking wings . . .”

I, meanwhile, spent Tuesday night running around Hoelbrak shouting “It’s so FLUFFY!!”

I wish they have the real life version of it’s plushie.

They should make more plushie and cute items in Guild Wars 2.

The reaction by players shows that alot of players love cute stuffs in a game.

Griffon is the best thing you could ever have.

I absolutely love the griffon, it is my favourite mini pet so far. My main dissappointment is that it doesn’t fly like the ones in Tixx’s workshop do. I hoped its idle animation would include some swooping, and that it would fly after you when you run.
It seems to be earth bound and I feel quite sad about that
