I see to many complain threads and not that many help threads. So if you have earned the achievement please post how your team did it.
I recommend getting “Not Toying Around” achievement first so you can learn the game mechanic and the feel for the new style of play.
When trying to get “Toypocalypse Canceled” the first two waves are vital if you can make it through the first two without a dolyak going down your team more than likely get through all 10 waves with ease provided you know how to take down Toxx.
First things first, save Maggie do this by putting a Tier 3 catapult near the outer rim of the main circle so it can fire efficiently at her and the other dolyak’s. You want to build as many tier 3 equipment as you can on the north east side because initially that’s were they all are coming from. If you put a few snow men a little out from maggie they will help draw some of the enemies from her allowing your catapult to clear them out in most cases in one hit.
In the early stages make sure you secure the outer rim of the circle with upgraded equipment while blocking off the smaller entrances to the circle with snow walls I believe there are 3 or 4 ways that can be blocked fairly quickly with these walls do not worry about the giant areas till later on just put tier three catapults down and let them clean house.
Don’t just build your siege equipment inside the circle build everywhere! Even snow men all over the outlaying areas will be beneficial if you put them just in range for the siege equipment to fire from the inner circle. The enemies will try to take out the snowman and in the mean time getting cleared by most of your tier 3 equipment. Once you feel you got the inner circle pretty secure just start building things right where you find the scrap/snow this will scatter the enemies and it will be easier to take them out when they are not in a large group.
Heal your dolyak’s between rounds there is Hay scattered around the outer edge of the main circle gather it up and go to the dolyak with the least amount of health and feed them they will gain a nice chunk of life back. I believe and I may be wrong but 2 or 3 pieces of hay spawn after each round.
Heal yourself! The middle of the giant circle where the dolyak’s stand if you stand right next to them the spring will heal you to full takes about 5 secs to go from low health to full health. Please don’t die if you can avoid it its always best to not handicap your team so being on your feet near the action is always better than trying to be the hero. Even if your fighting Toxx if you get low go to the middle and refill the run/time is a lot shorter in most cases.
How to easily kill Toxx without a Dolyak getting touched. Most cases Toxx will try to enter the circle through one of the tiny path ways that you can easily block with snow walls so if you have Tier 3 equipment behind those walls they will take chunks out of his life quick. Bait him away from the circle its always best to take aggro and back away from your equipment because he has attacks that can clear it all out in a swing. There should be no reason you should be in the big circle at all while toxx is out everyone should be focusing on getting him away. Rifles do a good job at baiting but I found the Candy cane basher works great if you are good with evading. If you decide to go the candy cane route make sure you use every attack as it refreshes sometimes you can time it just right and interrupt him and in doing so he will get pushed back a bit. If you get low on health don’t continue to try and bait have the others do it for you while you go get some health. Don’t die that is your main objective. Keep in mind you want to bait him away from the circle but keep him in distance for your equipment to attack him as well. You don’t have to do this but it makes the fight go way faster. Just get him away from your path blocking walls!
Remember in the last few waves enemies spawn inside the circle make sure you have enough inside to clear them out. Its great to have a lot outside the circle but you need to secure the inside first and foremost. You see a hole in a main path wall fix it don’t assume someone else will do it. “Your Score” really does not matter here in fact I really do not know why they score this instance when the objective is as it is. Also upgrade others equipment even though they get the credit for its kills.
How to upgrade: Grab the materials it take to upgrade what ever it is that you want to upgrade then go right next to the equipment click on it then press “F”. Very easy but you will notice that there are not that many that do it. Upgraded equipment do a lot more damage than the standard.
I know its a long post but there is some good info in there and I hope people find their right team to help get their achievement.
