Right now I have 450 cogs sitting in my bank/bags. I also have 2 pet frames I can use, but the issue is I do have 250 stuffing in my bank, but no glue! I usually do not take part in the forums, sorry, but in game I was told that you were only going to have enought mats for 2 mini pets. With the TP being real expensive for both glue and stuffing there should be a way we can get the mats needed to complete the pets based on the frames we have received through the gifts/rewards. Another MMO I played for many years always allowed a player to gain the rewards during special events as long as a player wanted to put the time into getting those rewards. It should be the same here. Why limit a player in the first place? Also if your going to limit things during a event period then let players know this via in game mail, or any other method in order to let players know the rules etc. during the event period. I had issues during the last event and there happened to be someone from Arenanet in game to see what was not going on and I received some nice goodies in my mail, which was very nice of Arenanet. I don’t want to receive “free” anything from them, but make these special events fun for the players and allow us the chance to gain the in game rewards based on our involvement in the event and simply let everyone know that you can gain a reward in a few hours if that’s all the time they have to play. With this event spanning such a long period of time it should allow everyone to gain the rewards offered.

AFAIK, you can loot the stuffing and glue from giftboxes looted in the wild, but I may be incorrect.

Once I found 25 glue from a gift… I opened hundreds since then and never got more, or any other stuff other the “ugly” items

The problem is if you can get both the stuffing/glue from the presents in the gaming areas usually there’s no one around to help you and good luck trying to kill 5 princesses all by yourself! I know it’s possible, but usually you’ll die trying…

You don’t have to kill them, just loot the presents…

The easiest and fastest way would be to make some money and then buy the crafting mats.

Yeah, I’ve personally never looted any stuffing/glue, I’m just going by what others have said. I know the drop rate must be insanely low, especially if you don’t defeat the toys that pop out to get those ‘extra’ chances.

Maybe they did this to try to use up the supply of glue /wads in the market.

I think after like 1700 or so boxes I’ve only seen two drops of the glue, which came as a stack of 25.

So, we’ve, what, let’s say 100.000 players. They all want to make that extra mini, so they all want 250 extra stuffing and glue. That’s 25.000.000 stuffing and glue… I can tell you now, even without looking at the TP, that there aren’t even close to that many to be sold. Remember, you can only get 500 and 750 of them, so, if you crafted your minis, you only have 250 spare. All the rest must come from those that don’t want to craft the minis. And a lot of that spare has already been used to craft tonics.

drop rate is i guess meant so for the off chance one could reduce the amount they purchace from the market or provide them with a small chance at some money by selling to the market. There has been no individual practical use for gift boxes for mini collection.

Which that sillyness multiplied by issue of the 3 minis i have an am unable use to make the quaggan makes the 200 cogs that are prevalently unusable a clear sign that someone cannot back check and see if the content being released makes sense….

p.s. i purchased a crap ton of extra glue and stuffing when it was only a couple copper so if i decide to sell im going to make lots of gold in profit.
