Before you dismiss this as Crazy talk, consider these points:

1. Tixx’s toys are constantly “malfunctioning” and yet we see him personally do little to nothing at all about them. YOU are the ones on the front lines cleaning up his mess.

2. Toxx has “malfunctioned” for five consecutive days. Not a mistake an ordinary Asura would make (much less five time over).

3. Tixx has easily twice the number of toy soldiers as Zhaitan has minions (level 80 dolls are easily the most overpowered enemies). Ask yourself this: Where was he when Zhaitan was scourging the earth of Tyria?

So why does he invite you to his airship to “help” him? Divide and conquer of course. His chances of success increase dramatically when he segregates the denizens of Tyria into separate parties of five. The low level players are at most danger, as they will be more undergeared for the toys (why do you think the advertised “level requirement” is 2?" And you’ve seen his “Presents” strewn throughout the world, filled with malicious toys. He is testing the waters in anticipation of his true invasion, with small squads of toy minions at a time to determine the weakest parts of Tyria to strike.

This is the perfect ploy because who would suspect a slightly crazy Asura with a bumbling golem whose only intention is to spread winter cheer all over Tyria? What? THAT Asura, the one that’s giving out toys and ugly clothes to everyone? Nawww, sure, he’s a little weird, but we deal with his malfunctioning toys just fine. There’s NO WAY he’s plotting against Tyria! And that’s what makes his plan so brilliant. If his toys kill you, people shrug it off as you being stupid. Who gets killed by a doll?? If you survive his toy army, you are a hero for helping a humble toymaker. Thank you, come again and face my deadly toy army tomorrow! You have given him at least five chances to kill you already.

But of course not everyone will fall. THIS IS JUST A PLOY to buy time for his Pièce de résistance: The Toypocalypse. You’ve seen the gate in construction in Lion’s Arch. What’s going to happen tomorrow? My guess is that the gate will burst forth with evil toy minions all over Lion’s Arch. His “special Wintersday Gift” will be nothing less than the enslavement and destruction of all of Tyria. While you slowly suffocate under the endless waves of merciless toys, Tixx will sit back and watch, as he has always done, or will be completely MIA. Toxx will probably be completely jacked and have more abilities (perhaps even Agony! :O).

Don’t give in to the lies and deceit of this Toymaker just because he’s given you some fluffy griffin or cute doll (weren’t their sibling just trying to kill you a minute ago?). Don’t let him play with your emotions with something as banal as an Endless Toy Tonic. It all seems too easy because it IS.

We must prepare for the Toypocalypse tomorrow. We must stand strong and defend Lion’s Arch. For Tyria! For Great Justice!

maybe he’s testing player strength, and hoping that many players that will fight back during the toypocalypse are not geared head to toe with ascended gear, and annihilate any who aren’t geared to semi-max (below exotics, in general). since players keep winning, wintersday might play out like sindrone(?) from the Incredibles movie (always learning from it’s mistakes to kill faster and more heroes).

I’d have to disagree with your point 2 – Asura creations go haywire and malfunction quite often. And it seems the more technologically advanced a creation is, the more likely it is to break spectacularly. In fact, it’s rarer to see an asuran creation that doesn’t go wrong at some point.
I’ll admit that it is possible that it’s deliberate, but it seems to me that it’s more likely just another example of asuran hubris leading to lack of safety controls.

“Tixx is evil”, something I’ve suspected since the announcement of the event. And I can definitely see Tixx being another “Syndrome” from The Incredibles.

Of course Tixx is evil, that girl who talks in his airship is the Red Queen and Tixx works for the Umbrella Corporation. You can expect some zombie toys in the Toypocalipse.

Actually i think that Tixx is just trying his best to get all his toys to kids before Wintersday. It’s his workers who are going to have a rebellion. They are probably sabotaging his toys/golem on purpose – because if you talk to them they all hate him, and if you talk to Toxx before he goes haywire, he talks like a normal golem but with – LIBERATION – interspersed.
