I just logged onto my pvp toon and someone linked the items he had recieved from Tixx. Once he told me where to get them, I went straight into the middle and talked to him, accepted, and then went to the chest, only to find it unlootable. I asked around and some people told me that there might be some bug around that prevents you to get the PvP items from Tixx if you had gotten the PvE items first from LA Tixx. This makes me really sad since I PvP alot more than I PvE but I talked to him in LA first because I logged on and played with some friends. So am I being punished for helping friends first, or will this get fixed before event ends?

some people in my guild can get and some can’t. one guy tried to open the pvp one first and got nothing, and it didnt let him open the LA one after. I tried the LA one first and got something but the PVP one wouldn’t give me anything. and another guy in my guild treid the pvp one first and got something

I talked to Tixx in Lions Arch first. There I received everything without a problem.

Then after finishing the Toypocalypse and logging out for a few minutes, I tried to also get my SPvP presents, but I did not receive anything at all from talking to Tixx and also can’t interact with the chest in the Mists.

It seems there are quite a few people with this problem apparently. I wont say that I am happy about the problem, but I am happy that I am not alone about it. Hopefully if they do not get it fixed before event end, then they will send out bags like the Karka event.

In another thread, a mod said you’ll only get the reward once. So, if you got it in Lion’s Arch, you won’t get it in the Mists.

No idea why some are getting neither.

Got the chest in LA first without issues, then found out about the Mists chest, which didn’t work, it was already opened (which shouldn’t matter as you can get the rewards from bosses even if the chest is opened by someone else), and I obviously can’t talk to Tixx anymore.

There should be a check for when you get the rewards, if you don’t or can’t loot the chest, you should be able to talk to Tixx again to “refresh” the chest.

I have no idea what the rewards were, I hope there is a fix for this even though it doesn’t matter to me as much as the LA rewards which can be used anywhere else.

EDIT: Tried teleporting to the Underwater Trials waypoint, then logging out, then logging back in and walking back to the center, the chest still looked open, can’t loot it, can’t talk to Tixx.

EDIT 2: Ardenwolfe, can you post the link to the other thread? If that’s true then it’s weird that you still have the option to talk to Tixx in the Mists even after you got your reward in LA.

Just realised something, are the Mists rewards the same as in LA or are they supposed to be sPVP specific?

This is mighty confusing lol.

If it’s the same reward with two access points (so that people who never do PvE can get it in the Mists), then this would make sense. Before we assume you’re supposed to get two different gifts and that it’s bugged, do we:
a) Know that they are different gifts
b) Know firsthand any cases of receiving gifts from both places?

It is yet another thing that lacks description, Anet should try making these things more detailed so that we don’t have to ask them to confirm stuff on the forums.

I have the opposite problem. I logged into the Mists. I saw Tixx and the chest and that was great. I then proceeded to Lion’s Arch and was unable to claim the PvE prizes…

If that was intended, I wished that was alerted to us so that we could choose which rewards to take…

I went to the Mists to try out a build and then when I was heading to the gate to LA, I saw Tixx. Thinking it was the same as in LA, I went to him and accepted his offer. Upon receiving the gifts, I realize that it was for PvP and that made me upset. I went to LA and tried talking to him. I cannot claim the PvE gifts and that made me even more sad. I play mostly PvE and didn’t know there was a difference between the two locations Tixx was in.

Yeah, I can’t get the PvP gifts either.

Could we get a dev to clear up this mystery?

the pvp gifts were the same backpack (but it had no stats and could still be worn in the back spot during pvp for the look), 5 snowman finishers, and 5 gift finishers

Seems like crap. Good that I opened it in Lion’s Arch. 200 cogs still useless yeah… but maybe at 24th, 25th or 26th there will be a way to get the remaining 50.

And I prefer the skins from the 3 unstable gifts(saves time farming) over pvp finishers.

15 slot bag also is nice to give to one of my other chars.

I was talking to Tixx while waiting for a map to kick in. (figured it filled up) Suddenly got tele’d as soon as I asked him for the gift. Nothing in my bag. No chest.

Yep, got the LA one. Can’t get the sPvP one. Lame

Tixx in LA and on sPvP not give me anything (((
