Ok so I run around grabbing gift boxes on my 80, no prob, tons of jumpers, pop to low lev zone to help a mate and to my amazment, the mobs die so much faster yet I still get giant gift boxes.

Yet on my poor low lev, those mobs are way way harder and I get small gift boxes.

Ok low lev gets small, high lev get Giant, seems simple till you look at item prices and realize the poor low levs are fighting way more uphill, then get charged about 50% more when thety trade in said items!

ohh and ps: why no Pistol xmas skin?

A dev posted somewhere here that the only difference between the boxes is the level of the crafting items obtained (snowflakes). It is intended that lower level characters get lower level crafting items. You have the same chance to get other types of items from the small gift boxes as from the giant.

Problem is as badger pointed out low lvls get socks high levels get jumpers, most skins take 150 socks but only 100 jumpers apart from the fact that on my 80 guardian most things are a face roll but on my leveling mesmer the one i actually want things like princess wands the fights are tougher.

Both may get the same number of drops but the low level get shorted at the vendor.

Not to mention that lvling or making a toon now feels like they are getting punished for christmas. I’ve given up on this event entirely as their new plan for “endgame” for higher lvl toons only

Why would you expect a low level character getting anything of high level? Drops were meant to be comparable to the level of the character getting it. So the fact that low level characters get low level drops should be a given.

Instead of complaining, perhaps you should just farm with your lv 80.

I gave up getting presents, the event is bias to certain classes and weapon types..

Open present killed instantly by Princess dolls with insane Mesmer skills…..Low players have very little health and the mobs skills are not scaled properly…

Funny, when my guild does the events most of them are on very low level chars and nobody has a problem.

You can get giant presents from Tixx and the JP. Next are you going to complain that higher level monsters drop higher level gear?
