Guild Wars 2

I figure all of us are going to end up with a ton of extra wintersday stuff. The question is, what are you going to do with all of your extra sweaters/socks/hats, your extra stuffing and your account bound cogs, and your two left over frames?

Hoard them, hoping they’ll be of use at some point in the future or worth more on the TP eventually, vendor them, TP what you can now, trash the cogs?

Right now, I personally have no idea.

I toss skins in guild storage, exchange ugly stuff for more presents on the off chance of getting a nice drop, and already trashed my excess cogs and used/sold my stuffing and glue. I’m not wasting my space with this stuff, personally.

I’ll probably sell whatever I can, but I’ll hang on to the 2 frames and cogs just in case they come in useful later on down the line. I’ve got 5 characters so I can keep them in a bag somewhere if I don’t have enough bank space.

Endless Toymaker’s Tonic, well thats obvious, I’ll be watching the price for that closely. Funny how much it’s already risen because one guy said he found a secret use for it.
I just sell my ugly clothes, the money you get is better used toward more presents than actually using the clothes for presents.

all the spare minis (not from tixx) I tossed in forge and came up with 20-30 gold worth of minis. (had another post on the first day where i tossed 4 snowman in and got a polar bear)

Frames i tossed in forge with glue stuffing and glitter for tonics (i have all minis already)

Stuffing I gave it away to newbie guildies
Glue I did the same
Cogs I destroyed

I’m hoarding my spare weapon skins / snowflakes/ recipes/ unbreakable bells (x4) and Toymakers tonics (x3) till March then selling them off. May event off 1-2 Unbreakable bells to my guildies later o.O

I wonder what the new source of Snowflakes will be when presents end.

Economics 101, give people a reason to buy something, no matter how strange/bad the reason or how expensive the item, and they’ll go for it. Looking at you Apple.

I honestly don’t know… there’s so much stuff that I have, like sweatshirts, socks, hats, and everything… I will hoard them!

Stored the cogs and frames leftover in the bank. Stored the weapon skins in the bank. Used or sold the ugly clothes.

I’m combining all my ugly items from all my characters, then I’m going to advertise in map chat that I’m buying skins for people from the vendor. Let people message me, pick their skin, and I’ll grab it off the vendor and give it to them. I’ve been giving away all the skins that have dropped out of packages over the course of the holiday (kept one focus and one scepter for myself) for the spirit of the season and such.

Don’t know how well that plan’ll work out, though. Its been getting harder and harder to give my skins away in general, seems like most people that want them already have them. Yesterday I was unable to give away the spare Popgun and Scepter skins I already have. I guess if I can’t find anyone to give ‘em too, I’ll just buy a bunch of Unsafe Wintersday Boxes (since they’re cheaper than buying specific skins and they stack), bank ’em, and then a couple months down the line start opening them and see if I can give them away then.

I wish you could buy snowflakes off the vendor besides tiny ones. I’d like to stock up on Pristine Snowflakes a bit more. Givers’ is a pretty cool stat combination and I don’t like that it’ll be limited. But whatever.

As for the other items… 200 cogs are getting sold to a random vendor. A few silver is a few silver, so why not. My 2 extra frames, I dunno. I might hold on to them for a while, or I might just trash them. I have no intention of playing “tonic roulette” even if I suddenly become rich enough that I could afford buying a bunch of glue / stuffing (I’d like an endless tonic or two, really, but I refuse to gamble on it, my luck is terrible), so they really have no point for me. I’ve got 50 extra glue, probably give that away or sell it.

Sweaters/socks/hats = traded for gifts on NPC

COGs = keeping in some mule character while strongly believing they will be useless forever.

Leftover frames? Ive used all 5 to craft the everlasting tonics.

I don’t have any. I immediately sell any Wintersday gifts I collect.

Traded all the ugly clothes for gifts to see if I could get the unbreakable bell or endless tonic. Not sure whether to delete the frames and cogs though since I sold all the mats for gold, probably will.

sold my stuffing and glue, vendored my cogs, probably will destroy may frames down the line but they are still sitting in my bank. I kept the skins since I might use them later. bought gifts with all my ugly clothes and destroyed the 1 or 2 left over

I sold whatever stuffing, glue, ugly clothing I had left on the TP. I will prob keep the cogs, except the mistaken 200 stack we got and I will keep the frames to maybe make the other minis this year if they have the same ones. I gave away any repeat recipes/weapon skins I had to friends.
