As the title asks, will the vendors that exchange socks/hats/sweaters for stuff disappear with everything else or will we have more time to spend any leftover ugly clothes? As far as I know there is currently no other use for the uglys so if these merchants were going to vanish it would be nice to have a heads up!

I would suggest you error on the side of caution and assume that they will disappear as they have in just about any other game with holiday events that I am aware of. As you say, there appears to be no other use for those currency, so either save for next year or spend them on the last day, as I intend too.

I wouldn’t take any chances if you want to make use of it. Do it before the 3rd.

Sometimes the merchants will stick around for a week after the event, but Wintersday is already such a long event, so I can’t say for certain that they will.

It just doesn’t seem like Anet style to make these items have no purpose. If they remove the vendors without warning I would at least expect them to introduce some other use for them. Having hundreds of thousands of junk items on the tp hardly does anyone any good.

Not like the ArenaNet style? Look at Candy Cane Shards from GW1. Once Wintersday was over they had no other purpose since they were only used to complete quests or exchange for holiday items.

I also need to know this. People will be angry if they take their items away without warning.

With Lionguard Lyns, we asked and asked if she would be gone after Lost Shores. Never a response, but she remained.

But they also said she would be there through wintersday and without warning she was removed for the entirety of wintersday.

We’re running out of time here, can we get an answer before it’s too late? This forum will be archived tomorrow.

I converted all my ugly sweaters, hats and socks to gifts as there is no answer on this and I’d rather be safe then sorry.
