Winter Wonderland puzzle melting too quickly?
They melt? Never noticed XD
Yeah, they melt really quickly.
What do you get for reaching the end? Waiting around after failing is realy bugging me.

Items that seem to go towards some exclusive Wintersday content. No clue if you’ll be able to get that stuff any other way. But I imagine you will (hopefully.)
Yeah, and that wait is really annoying. All in all I’d say this is worse than the clock tower.
Did the JP on all my chars, it’s really easy. Magnificent Chest at the end, I got some snowflakes, a booster and Big Wintersday Prezzie
“it’s really easy.”
Possibly for the select few who are really good at jumping puzzles. But my issue is that this is content that most people won’t be able to complete or participate in.
I found this to be super fun. I’ve beaten it around 15 times and still going, love it.
Uh, everyone is able to participate. Completing it is another matter, but if it was too easy it wouldn’t be very entertaining.
I don’t mind it being difficult. I mind that it has an incredibly punishing timed nature to it.
Yup, melting is annoying because I have to can’t wait behind a couple seconds so I can jump by myself rather than clobbered on top of half a dozen other people. The delay time between doing the jumping puzzle is a bit frustrating as well. I can only assume it’ll be more and more tedious the more times someone fails.
This JP is perfect in terms of overall difficulty. I love it and didn’t even notice the platforms melting at all?
How long do you have to stay on the platform before it melts?
Commander @ Tarnished Coast
I noticed some platforms look more like broken snowflakes while others look more like solid snowflakes. I didn’t test it, but I imagine the broken ones have a timer until they vanish and the solid ones don’t. That being said, after 5-6 attempts or so, I finished the jumping puzzle. A lot of fun! The environment and entire puzzle were all really pretty and set up nicely. IMO it could have been a tad harder, but at the same time, I think the difficulty level is quite suitable for most people.
Here’s a tip that will make all jumping puzzles really easy for you:
Click and hold down the right mouse button as you do the puzzle
The only issue with this JP (for me) is that frost debuff eats up all my HP and I die before I can finish it. I always die just after the snowballs and the Skritts.
But I guess I will have to try harder (and faster). But all in all it’s fun.
The puzzle is already extremely easy, as a result of people complaining about Clocktower. Anymore and they’d basically be pampering you.

In general everyone I’ve talked to about in my guild (of 400+ people) and on the forums says that it’s easy.
My personal opinion is that it’s one of the easiest puzzles in the game so far.
If you are worrying about the snow flakes melting on you then you’re not going fast enough to make it to the end before the frostbite debuff kills you anyways. You have to keep moving forward pretty much constantly.
Clocktower took me an hour to beat the first time.
Beat this one on my second try.
If you can’t beat this one, then I’m sorry, but jumping puzzles aren’t for you.
I got this on my second try, there is literally nothing difficult about it. Definitely the easiest jumping puzzle in the game that I’ve seen.
I guess the QQ outburst from the clock tower convinced ANet that there doesn’t need to be any challenge.
My highest progress so far was reaching the last part where you need to climb on the last set of gifts and dying from freezing
Once you become comfortable with the different initial snowflake paths, it gets quite a bit easier.
Also, I believe the snowflakes do not begin to melt until the first person steps on them. I can’t be certain (I’ve never been alone on a run to see if they start to break on their own) but that’s what it seems like to me.
I’ve been behind a group, heard the cracking of the snowflakes, but then the guys ahead fall off and suddenly the snowflakes ahead of me are pristine. Maybe I just started moving faster and got ahead of the melting, like I said, I can’t be 100% sure.
-Travail.
I spent about an hour trying to do it and gave up, not a big fan of the speed run jumping puzzles. I tend to take my time when doing the WvW ones, just not my cup of tea.
