Guild Wars 2

I’ll start by saying this is not intended to be a complaining post about the Wintersday puzzle. I personally enjoy jumping puzzles in this game, but these puzzles where you have no choice but to hurry need to stop. I am a quadriplegic and I really have enjoyed every aspect of this game so far because it allows me to interact with people on a level playing field without the physical limitations I face every day. I’ve been able to figure out how to play dispite having no control of my hands/fingers and actually do quite well. I made a post about the clock tower puzzle for Halloween concerning this same problem. When I play, I have to pause and doule check to make sure my hands are in the correct position above the keys pretty often. This of course makes it literally impossible to do a puzzle where you have to constantly keep moving because I have to stop, look at my hands, and keep going. I’ve tried this puzzle tons of times, always failing because I have to look at my hands. I have made multiple tickets with no response or acknowledgement to my situation. I enjoy collecting achievemet points, and not being able to do this simply because I can’t feel in my hands is frankly ridiculous. I would like to see some response from Anet about my situation, because if there are going to be continually creating things like this that people like me can’t do based purely on the fact that there’s no feeling or control in my hands/fingers I’ll find something else to invest my time into. Thanks.

I’m sorry about your physical limitation, but you can’t expect a gaming company to adjust the game so that everyone with every disability can play all the content. I’m glad to hear you can play most of the game fine and I think you should probably focus on what you can do eventhough you have this limitation, instead of what you can’t do. Games aren’t tailor-made for anyone and we can’t ask that either because that would be rather selfish. I personally love the JP’s and I would hate to see them leave, but there is also stuff that I can’t get or probably not for a very long time. Though I won’t ask for that content to be removed just so that I can do all the content. I hope you don’t take this in the wrong way, because it’s not meant as an insult to you.

First I would like to say I think you are a truely amazing person and its inspiring to see some one that is pushing boundries to accomplish goals that are not very easy for them or even tailored to fit them……… I personly think you have a good point and wouldnt mind a easy mode say that isnt timed that could just give the acheive and no chest at the end

….Why not? We’re paying for the game, we’re the ones putting in the effort to do it; yes they can do it so that everyone can enjoy it. The fact is you, yourself do not have an issue with it so you, yourself do not see the flaw in it.

I am in Travis’ guild and I listen to him each night play this game constantly, he is by far one of the most dedicated GW2 players this game has, for a complaint to come from a guy that endlessly sees the positive angles and enlightenment to this game means a lot.

I believe people like yourself need to open your eyes and not your mouth; I work in medical, I am in school to become a doctor, I see things like this each day when I study and when I work in the field, he did not choose to be like this but he was simply having fun and it went wrong, he got hurt and this is what became of it, there is absolutely no reason why Anet cannot make the puzzle and future puzzles doable by anyone, at any level of physical limitations.
