Hi.
I was in the mood of writing some feedback to Anet, because i know Anet loooove feedback. Everything that I say is MY opinions, you cant change it. But a few of the things here have already been mentioned here on the forum so i will only mention them and then continue.
I will try and cover as much as i can and that i feel that i can give feedback on.

The dungeons:
they were good. i liked them. ALOT actually. nothing here to say other than that. ( however u might wanna use more then 3 or 4 quotes from the main character in a dungeon that you run 5 timesor so. Enough with “brain hurricanes” and “brilliant toy ideas”.)

snowball fighting:
all winters day events needs some proper snowball fighting. and this was very well done. the classes was very unique and felt really distinct from each other. the V-shaped map was a good choice for a capture-the-object game. nice map overall. However there was one minor fallback. actually two but lets start with the one.the gift respawn timer was to **** low [insert meme here]. basically 80% of my games looked like this:
Both team rushes to the gift, the team with the first scout there gets the first present.
after that points the teams takes turn in scoring the gift because the gift have a … 20 sec respawntimer? i dont know the exact time but its low. therefore the team that just scored will be 1 less at the gift respawn location therefore giving favor to the enemy team and the teams takes turns.
I cant say all games is like this but allot are and that’s why i stopped playing it. Sure I had some pretty epic moment when we took the present 1m from the collector but that was only because the one holding the gift ran the long way around <.<. anyway. quickfix: spawn gift 1 or 1.5 min into game and make the respawn like 1 min. maybe even ad a notification like " the gift will respawn in 10 seconds". Yes i know, it isn’t a super competitive game. but its a small change that would make a big difference. and I would think it to be way more fun.

guitar he..erhm the Bell Choir activity:
awesome. its a great activity. its the thing iv’e been doing the most. however i feel it is missing 2 things:
1: a “hit-the-button-here-mark”. it took me a while to get where you were supposed to press the button. and I’ve helped out a ton of ppl who didnt figure it out before they cared to ask for help.
2: a background beat. maybe there is, but i cant hear it. but there isn’t allot of harmony between me and the other two guys playing. sometimes, but not very often. this can be partly fixed with fixing the first problem

the jumping puzzle:
the jumping puzzle was good, and its up to yourself to judge if it was to easy. ( or to hard?) my opinion: it was to easy, I made it on the 4th or 5th try i think and a few of my friends made it in 4, 3 or even 2 tries.but to be honest. Anet did the right thing. but they kinda overdid it. the clocktower was dificult because it was at least 1 norn/char max size right next to you blocking your view AND it was kinda hard, I was there for 2h before completing it. but tbh i’d rather see a to easy puzzle then a to hard one, due to that its a limited time event.

gem store:
I wont comment on any prices. however i will comment on the mini-pets situation( i’m a collector)lets sum it up:

you can make 2 pets yourself from things you got from the dungeon. the other 3 you have to buy for 350gems ea. this is ok, I guess.

the only way to get the 3 (4) other pets are from the mystery box. witch costs 100/80gems ea. and then u have a CHANCE to get what you want. i mean the pets are the only reason why you would buy the box.( and possibly the hat aswell). I mean everything u get from that box you can buy from the TP for less than 5s except from the pets, they are account-bound for some reason :S. this have already been brought up on the forum so ill leave it at that. ( here is the link, https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wintersday/Solutions-to-the-mini-pet-issue i like the 1st and the 2nd solution, the 3rd is kinda weird)

that’s pretty much it. thank you for reading if you managed to get through it all, and sorry for all gramatic / spelling wrongs i did. English is my 2nd language ( hopefully chrome helped me out some)

Tixx events were good for the first few days, but then became repetitive with the recycled round events.

Snowball & Jumping Puzzle were great.

With the JP… some found it challenging, others found it easy… so it’s just right for the average player… even though I found it easy… very easy if you get the gingerbread path… which is good for those players who are having a harder time with it. Bravo A-net ^^

Not personally a fan of the bells, but that’s just not my type of game.

I’m fine with them doing all these sort of pet things based on a rng and mostly through the cash shop. It’s a good way for them to make money and encourage people to support the game by buying gems. I Do think that they should have allowed the gem pets to be bought/sold on the TP though.

For all of the T.T about the pets/morph pots… they are things that are only flash. They add nothing of substance to your character’s performance. This is how you do a cash shop properly.

I liked the snowball fight the most as it is alot like the snowball fight from GW1. Wish there was a dirty snow skill though.

However, the map design should have been 4 teams instead of 2. Most of the map went unused. I noticed powerups in places that the fight just never took place. 4 teams, different present scoring options located at different parts of the map may have spruced that up a bit.

The dungeon was ok. The minipets were nice. I received the weapon skins I wanted besides the slingshot of which I assume I will get before the 3rd. I only wanted one endless tonic of which I got after 3 tries. All in all, nice event.

I liked the Tixx events, especially because I was able to practice in group play without Puging a dungeon.

On the down side, I’d say I really get into the scavenger hunt events, such as the halloween book events. Although I can see how it is hard for low lvls, I have to say that I love any excuse to explore out in the beautiful world you’ve made, as well as learning more lore while having fun.

I’ve read that legendaries and ascended gear will someday follow this model somehow, so that would be cool and stuff.

On the upside again, I got some minis and skins without doing much but playing the game and having fun, so can’t complain there. One skin I really wanted was Princess Wand for my mesmer, and I got two so far for free, plus countless sweaters and stuff I haven’t even traded in yet.

Also, I really like the music. I always love the music in this game.

Tixx’s Infinirarium: B
This was fun and made me smile the first few times I went in. I would of liked to have each day have their own events even if the length was cut in half instead of the same things over and over with one new event. Like a giant Princess Doll instead of Toxx ect.

Toypocalypse: B+
Great idea and hope this returns in other holidays however they need to have a ladder with endless levels only ending when all 5 dolyaks are down then at the end of Wintersday give a prize, a unique endless tonic or mini to the top x teams.

snowball fighting: B+
This was a great mini game activity, some thoughts on how it could have been improved.
-There should have been 3 teams or a smaller map
-the gifts should of randomly appeared throughout the map like in GW
-there should be another area where you could form your own team and compete

Bell Choir activity: A
Another unique and enjoyable activity. The only thing I would change is to reward the players with a piece of an endless bell for getting a perfect score. Then being able to throw these pieces into the forge for an untradeable unbreakable bell.

jumping puzzle: A-
I really enjoy these jumping puzzles I wish there were more which were more challenging like the clock tower. The 3 paths really helped thin the field however I would of liked if each path was a different difficulty which could have been chosen by the player at the start.

gem store: C+
The random chance minis should have been sold in a set like the Halloween ones.

Overall I wish that all minis would be tradable since unless they repeat next year those who do not purchase the minis will always have a blank spot in their collection.

The weapon skins are nice and was happy to see them purchasable instead of the grab bag.

The grab bag – I feel that anything found in these should have been sold in the store just have them be cheaper than the items in the store for those of us who like to gamble.

The decorations and music were very well done as well as being able to get new weapon skins by trading in ugly items. A+

Tixx’s Infinirarium: A- Liked it a lot but the repetitions got a little long

Toypocalypse: A loved it

Snowball fighting: A was surprised by this. I thought I was going to hate it and loved it instead. Kept on playing after getting my achievements

Bell Choir activity: A enjoyed it too

Jumping puzzle: didn’t do it. I stink at jumping puzzles so can’t say

Gem store: C- Excellent new skins and clothes but really bad decisions to make the minis rng when it costs real money for the boxes.

decorations, in game toy skins, music, boxes dropping in zones, snowball fights in la etc – A+

Infinirarium = C = kind of buggy, if it was all fixed I’d upgrade it to B- :P otherwise it was just a hack and slash with no real purpose or skill. The location change attempt was nice, but as I mentioned, buggy.

Toypocalypse = n/a = didn’t play it just yet (maybe never)

Snowball fight = n/a = didn’t play, don’t intend to

Bell Choir = A = this game is pretty awesome, but lagprone, but since you don’t need to be perfect to still get rewards this is totally fine

Jumping = B+ = pretty good difficulty for moderate jumpers, but still has similar problems from clocktower, number of people, the timed aspect, loading issues, floating platforms suck

Gem store = C = I bought none of the wintersday mystery boxes, and don’t intend to with that bullkitten. The winter minis should’ve been available like halloween ones. Toy minis being available if you missed is the only reason I gave a little higher here.

Decorations = A- = would be nice to have skins for all weapon types, but overall decorations in all cities are all great, snowball items, especially the snowball fight npcs

World gifts = C = lame introduction, but the difficulty of these mobs was appropriate (but perhaps make more sense to have to kill one before a gift drops), to prevent people from just opening and running away.

Tonic gambling = F = granted I got super lucky on these, but I still feel for the people gambled for four, then threw them into mystic forge and got…. the 5th. Horrible.

Unbreakable bell gambling = C = terrible choice of ‘reward’ but since it was relatively cheap, this gets a passing score.

Ending Prize for playing = B+ = nice free bag, decent back skin for both pve and pvp, nothing gamebreaking but still useful which is great.

All in all, thanks for the event. Parts of it have been definitely been enjoyable for me, and it was a nice touch to be able to get the title without having to play all games.
