so finally got a good group did all 10 waves and the final wave had no chest at end or anything to be like ooh yay i won. 2/4/6/8 all had presents but 10 gave nothing?

yeah, same here. Though I assume its intentional, for whatever reasoning.. I think you do get a present or so (directly into your inventory), but nothing major or even notable..

There was no end chest but I ended up with 18 winters days gifts and an achievement. I personally was happy with it and the achievement was enough for me but I guess now they are changing it so you only need one dolyak alive to receive the achievement. It’s complete bull kitten if you ask me.

Where did you read this? That is really beat up if they change it… If they do they need to do something for the people that got it the “old” way. A guy can wish.

It doesn’t really need a change. It wasn’t that hard to begin with.

It does need a change because as it is there is no point to sticking around in instances that have already lost yaks. Getting the achievement, if you’re unlucky, is just instance hopping after instance hopping until you find one with all 5 yaks, and then hoping the group you’re with is coordinated/willing to listen. It’s easy once you’ve found the ideal conditions – good, coordinated group.
