man im lagging badly because of this update cant the fix this lag?

I haven’t had any lag at all, aside from the few short lag spikes when I was doing Choir Bell game last night.

I haven’t had any lag either. Same with the bell choir a tad but nothing to hinder my performance. I was pretty impressed actually.

My FPS drops a little for a couple of seconds around the Snowglobe in LA but other than that no issues whatsoever.

Haven’t really had any lag, except for during the Bells like was said before. A few lag spikes here and there during that, but that’s about it.

But just like any other event, a lot is going on with a lot of players as well. It is safe to expect such lag issues if you have a low end computer or a slow connection. If you fall in any of those categories, try reducing your graphics to help reduce some of that lag you are experiencing.

Since patch and in particular today my party had numerous disconnects and some lag issues.
1. Yesterday after patch on ranger in various zones, not just LA, momentary screen freezes.
Today:
1. In TA, US party member Dc’d, then was complaining of barely being able to move for around 15 or so min. He has a good computer with SSD drives and said he’d never had the issue before.
2. Client froze for me (also in Aus) on loading screen to Tixx. Required client restart.
3. Aus player from Sydney dc’d twice in Fotm causing us to restart instance once, then the second time finish with four.
4. Then he dc’d in Tixx instance at Grove.
5. Another Aus player in party also had client freeze.

So there’s 6 issues amongst numerous people in one day.

The same for me – lagging after update – pve zones, wvw zones

I’m getting some pretty fantastic spikes at a rate of about once every half hour with no lag at all in between; which has pretty much cut me off from fractals at this point.

Yeah I have had some really bad lag since wintersday started

The lag for me has been really horrible since Wintersday started too. Until now, I have not had a problem with lag (except when my internet freaks out) since the first day of release. I’ve even been disconnecting and I only disconnect maybe once a month.

I have not had lag throughout the event, must be your connection problem

I lag in the JP (horray!) but no where else.

I’m not having any lag at all. To be honest you may want to contact your ISP, or reset your modem/router. I find this clears up lag in a big hurry.
