I talked to the little asura guy and took the checkpoint option and then fell and on the second attempt made it to the end. I got the achievement but only 1 Giant Wintersday gift. Is that seriously all you get or did I give it away? If the latter, can I do it over to get the ‘full’ reward?

The full reward for me was 3 giant wintersday gifts.

You can repeat the jumping puzzle as often as you want to (in fact you have to do it quite often for the achievement). Every run you’ve got the choice of an immediate reward, a respawn point or the bigger reward at the end.

It may be a bigger present, but I certainly wouldn’t call it a bigger reward! In all seriousness though, the puzzle reward is terrible. I remember it being much better last year. At the very least you should have a bonus reward for completing it your 1st time each day. Hell, I’d be happy having a bonus reward for completing it just my first time, period. But 1 giant wintersday gift for my first completion? That’s not cool, A-net.

So you can get 1, 2, 3 gifts?
3 if you turn in the gift from checkpoint.
2 if you open directly at checkpoint and then go to the end to get another one.
1 if you use the checkpoint to get 1 respawn there and then only get one at the end.

Or is it different? Haven’t tried yet. From what people have wrote(full reward 3 someone said) it seems like it could be like this.

Correct. You’ll get 1-3 based on your choices and completion.

I was just expecting a bonus or something like in the clocktower. That’s why I thought I had messed it up.
