since the patch the giant Winterday gifts drop two NEW backpieceskins to build. Here a video opening 1000x and getting both of them.

How the heck did someone already get 1000 of the presents?

Most likely bought with glory, some people have a really large amount of it

I bought 8 stacks of giant gifts, nothing special in it. sure 160+ quartz and 3 grenth recipes, but quartz is untradeable and the recipes like 20s each.

He got a recipe for both of the new back pieces, some snowflakes, some toy skins, and no sigil of generosity. I suspect that the sigil and runes from last year are gone.

You can buy them on the trading post. I bought a total of 300, 100 at a time. I got both ascended back recipes and the unbreakable choir bell.

I opened around 3k and didnt really get anything ‘good’ except for 3 of each ascended recipe and a unbreakable choir bell

I opened 2,5k of them to finally get Wings of Dwayna recipe. In the excitement, I learned it on character that has tailoring on lvl 23. I intended to learn it on other character with tailoring 430. I’m kinda angry right now, because I spent much money on getting it and now I have to level another tailor and spend more money. Arrrghh. I basically ragequit the game.
If recipes are account bound, learned version of them should be too. It was just like a misclick.

For some reason grenth recipe is tradeable and dwayna one is not. Which one is bugged?

You can also get them for glory in pvp. 10 giant gifts for 200 glory. Quite cheap I got over 1000.

They sell on the TP too along with the items to trade in to get them. Not too too expensive….for now

I opened 500 and got both backpiece recipes and a toy sword.

I opened around 1k and got a sore finger.

I’m certain that I have gotten over 1000 of the gifts just from playing Snowball Mayhem for the past 3 weeks. I did get both back recipes too.

I played way too much Snowball Mayhem apparently. Now it’s back to leveling my first character to level 80.

I thought once you used a recipe all your characters can use it? I know when the game launched that wasn’t the case, but they changed that.

No. All recipes are character bound. Learning a recipe on one character won’t unlock it on any other character. This was and has always been the case.

No way is that true. I play 5 toons and know for a fact I’ll buy a recipe on one toon, use it, and then go to another toon and it won’t let you consume it. It will say in red bold that I already know that recipe.
