I’m downloading at 2 KB/s atm and im wondering if everyone else is having this problem.

Aye same here. Probably due to rather large amount of people downloading it at the same time.

Has anyone completed it? I would like to know how big the files are

Been downloading at 1KB/s for the past 3 hours. Restarted several times.

25mb downloaded in an hour and a half.
Who knows, might finish downloading by Saturday…

49mb at 1kb/s its been downloading for about 8 hours now. We know a lot of us are having issues with the dl speed, has anyone successfully downloaded the client, if so, how big is it?

I finaly got a bèta invitation for this stress test on the new boarder.
I started downloading this morning with the speed of 2kb p/sec.. -_-
I hope when I got back home that I complete the download :o
But good to see that Im not the only one with this super fast speed of 2kb every sec xD

I have 3KB/s download although my fibre capacity is 100Mb/s (EU).
The GW2.dat file of the current game is 21+ GByte.
I don’t think this download will make it in time if the file goes beyond 350MB in size.
33 hours from now the Stress-Test will start.
I took an average download speed of ~ 3 KB/s. 33 * 3600 * 3KB / 1024 = ~ 348MB

<edit> During this download i can not seem to start my normal game (ffs?)

Running low on food and water. Starvation has started and I’m getting dehydrated. Download is still busy. 154MB downloaded. If I don’t make it before the stress test, tell my wife and children that I love them.

I gave up and closed the download. at 1kb/s its going to take many days to download the entire 25gb (someone on reddit said the last wvw borderlands test was the full 25). If they fix it, I’ll try again.

Thanks Anet for the invite i am grateful, but the download is way too slow. Guess i will play it when it comes to live servers or if the down-loader gets fixed.

OH yes, thank you for the invite. The cheers of happiness from all the people who were invited and inTS last night were great to hear. But if it’s the full 25GB, I don’t think 90% of the people who got an invite will be making it to the stress test at this rate. This is a little disappointing. I’m also sitting at 2-4KB/Sec.

It’s the full client. So 25GB (26,214,400 KB). I did the math (if I did it correctly) this will take roughly 101 days at a rate of 3KB/sec.

Calm down guys. They will fix the issue. If they wouldn’t fix it, there would be noone in the stress test, which would make the big stream, including analyst desk, battle replays and all that kind of stuff pretty boring.

I load with 4KB/s, so i need ca. 4,5 days for download. TY for the keys that we dont can use. :P

Exactly. They’ll get it figured out and take care of it.

5MB so far. Lol I’m just going to drop out of this stress test. I’m not going to wait all day for the client to download.

my download is capped a 4kb/s … I doubt I can download 25G in time for tomorrow if it doesn’t speed up a bit

There’s no way you guys are putting a dent in Amazon’s CDN. The test build probably isn’t available yet and you’re all just downloading a small 404 response a gazillion times.

Actually for the last stress test the download speeds were very low, too (often under 100kb/sec). This time, however, there are way more people invited.
