Howdie all,

I thought i would be invited for all stress testing once i bought the HoT expansion, but now people around me that didnt bought it got an invite, while i didnt got anything ?

I think its random wvw guilds/players that got the invite not sure though.

You bought access to beta weekends.
This is neither a beta nor is it on a weekend.

Some of my guildies got a invite aswell, think its distributed over Active WvW guilds/players (Which is amazing imo)

i got one but i got over 4k hours in wvw . i think they checked wvw guilds and active players. just buying hot doesnt mean u are great at beta testing a wvw map. people that mainly wvw in active guilds, will find exploits and bugs quicker than a wvw casual or a pve player.

i am also in a very active one and i am also active every day…
Not just that i kinda played WvW since the start of the game…, but ok then i know about that lol, to bad that i keep missing it.

Anet was careful in their wording; unless a test is labeled as a “beta weekend,” it is invite-only. It’s a little bit misleading, though I’m not sure I would be happy to be waiting in queue to participate.

My guild leader was invited yesterday. Myself and a friend/guildmate were invited today. They did say these tests would prioritize active WvW players, which is great. Hoping to see more friends get in so we can have some fun

yeah thats my problem i play every single day, people that got invited around me play less then i do, this is quite strange it seems its just random and i keep missing it.

U also need to understand that the new wvw maps will be available to all players, regardless if they have HoT or not. U dont buy HoT to get WvW and its tests

ofc i understand it, i aint a complete noob lol, i bought HoT specially cause of the role that i have in my community and the possible WvW meta changes that you will need to adapt as an player. But i play enough to atleast get an invite, i mean people that were playing half the time i do got an invite on my server (and a hell lot of them) but i never get an invite for things like these lol.
Just my bad luck and i thought that stress tests are also kinda beta testing, but the litteral use of words i see applies here. I always dislike it when people go litteral about stuff, wars start with those kind of people.

i think the major flaw, was allowing “active” streamers to invite people. Some of us WvW 10-15 hours a day and didn’t get an invite, whereas we have people outside anet with ability to send an invite to anyone.

At least that’s what I believe was happening with some of the signup lists that popped up before the first stress test. We need real dedicated WvW players doing the beta’s, not casual or non-wvw players.

I think that they know that they will lose all WvW players when camelot unchained will be coming out and they also know that they cannot fix that problem. They will lose at the end of the day unless they really come up with something good that let us stay here instead of going to play camelot unchained (and yes one of the betas will be coming in august).

I feel they will lose more players to Crowfall rather than CU because of the buy once have forever payment model Crowfall has rather than the sub for CU.
