Even just one old borderland map would minimize the risk that the the new borderland map will kill the WvW culture of GW2—a very real danger.

Like many others, I’m afraid the new map is going to turn WvW into EotM primarily because of the size-to-objective-to-population ratio. Enemy encounters will be far less common or necessary.

Until the new borderland has proven its quality, please preserve access to at least one of the existing borderlands for those who play WvW primarily to fight other players.

Having more maps than currently will most likely end up killing WvW much faster than just having this new map though, seeing as it would be even harder for smaller servers to have a chance against bigger ones.

I’ve been proposing a 4 map solution for a while. I don’t see why we need 3 copies of the same map.

Anet needs to find a new system that has more variety and get EotM also in the PPT rotation with upgradable walls/gates.

End the Karma farm, bring variety, merge servers into alliances and create a flexible overflow system, improve involvement in score, make it so lower servers can catch up with PPK and change the PPT system.

It was my understanding that the Desert borderland would only replace a single BL map.

They will replace the Alpine borderlands completely, so there will be three versions of the Desert borderlands instead of Aline borderlands.

Anything else would be extremely unfair seeing as the one having Desert as their home border would have a massive advantage.
