I didnt expect the huge queues and PPT contest on something called stress test. PPT competition is very far from stressing the servers. It should have been 3-way fights with as many people as possible.

My experience: I was in 150+ queue for the red border (the only one with at least some action). I was on blue border with few commanders running around, having hard time navigating through the map and I dont blame them – the detours you have to take to get somewhere are annoying and confusing. When we saw swords anywhere, it was usually over when we got there. We found enemy like 3 times in 2 hours and the rest was running around capping stuff and killing NPCs on a “PvP” map. Then I got to the red border for last 40 minutes and the only fight I got was arranged by the streamers and couldnt even finish it because the PPT event ended and we got kicked (Im not 100% sure on the reason we got kicked).

I imagine the red border players had a bit better experience but considering the state the WvW is in now, I dont think there will be enough players to populate 3 of these maps to make them look even remotely alive. So in the end it will most likely be closer to my experience when the maps are released.

The lack of waypoint seems like an important issue. After all, I’ve seen WvW in other games completely fail because there is too much running around before getting into a fight or when dying.

You need to be able to get back into the action in less than 2 minutes.
