I’m looking to get a unique, new kind of application approved by ArenaNet.

This wvw application had it’s public release about 1,5 month ago. It makes use of the GW2 api in combination with the mumble link. The result is an application that shows objective information ‘hovering’ over the actual objectives in-game. Some of the users I have let me know they would like some kind of verification about the legality of the overlay, so hereby I would like to ask you, developers at ArenaNet, is it allowed to make this kind of use of the tools you give me? Here’s a link to the application’s website for details: http://www.gw2battlesupport.com

This is actually pretty sick, I was looking for an application like this for a while! If you don’t mind me asking, may I see the source?

Yeah, that legal disclaimer before the download and lack of source code makes this a “no install” for me.

Very cool. I’ve actually been in development of an application very similar, but for PvE and events. It’s going to become useless in a couple days, but it’s been fun making. As soon as I found out about that mumble-link interface, tons of ideas about location-based tools came to mind.
