Is this forum dead?

The legend says that OAuth “is basically complete” since 8 months ago and yet we’re still lurking around with API 1.0 or a semi API 2.0 (which is basically API 1.1 based on its “new” features)

The last productive comment from a developer in the official API Development Plans has been over a year ago!

Therefore one simple question arises: Is this forum dead? – If so, why aren’t you just closing the whole API development forum?

Let’s see if this post is even read by a developer…

API 2.0 is really near the be available (there was a tweet of a developer that was removed probably due to problem found on API 2.0). We are waiting from a long time this API 2.0 and probably it’s this very close release that makes it seem that the time is not flowing.
We have just to wait a little more. How much more? A lot less compared to what we have waited until now.

Personally I prefer that developers spend their time developing instead of writing to a forum ;-)

It’s been a very long time since the APIs have seen any activity. Having said that, I’m sure they’ll see an update during Season 2 of the living story, but that could still be months away.

In regards to GW2Kit, I’ve had emails asking about it: it’s going to get rewritten once API v2 is released. I’ve been utterly demotivated to do anything with it since the APIs, themselves, feel abandoned.
