Hi all.
I have been working with the API for a few days now and have a page which will enable you to get event IDs for any world and any map.
Although it’s not completey finished (I need to work on the timers and style) you can get the state, description, ID of any event with chest events being linked.
Have a look and let me know what you think…
Also, this has been tested on the five main browsers, IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera and works on them all, unlike a lot which don’t seem to work in IE.
Database / Data Retireval: http://www.enigma-eu.co.uk/events/gw2info/
I have also started on the event timer which, as far as I’m aware, is the first to allow user data input so you can monitor any event on a specific server.

I made desktop version of dynamic event tracking program. It is similar to many of web based ones but because this is desktop program, you can create your own custom watch list for any of events in the game. I am still validating some of meta events, so not everything is perfect but it’s good enough to publish now.

This application is released stable and fully usable, with Beta features included – additional functionality added regularly – with automatic updates.
Some key implemented features:
For a full list of currently implemented features and updates, please visit the above link for GW2 Command.
The ability to preset your home world/server and guild to customize the program.
WvW Map; tracking and displaying the status of objectives in near real-time (your internet latency determines real-time accuracy of objective information such as Righteous Indignation in addition to a minimal (5 seconds; or you time you chose) refresh timer.)
The ability to start and stop autmatic updates of data from GW2. The ability to manually update data from GW2 on demand. (For those with less than ideal internet connections.)
Point bar (like what’s seen in the game) to show you the balance of power/points for each point-tick in addition to showing each world’s score for the match you’re viewing.
Full display of each objective’s information, including: Righteous Indignation status, world owner, claiming guild, point value, etc.
Configurable alerts on objectives to be notified via sound, computer voice, or taskbar messages when the owner of an objective changes, a specificed world captures the objective, when Righteous Indignation ends on the objective, your guild claims the objective, and more.
Configurable logging to track objective history events such as when the objective has been captured, who captured the objective, righteous indignation status, and more. The log data is saved in XML format and contains attributes/elements which promote sorting and parsing of this data (i.e. by match, date, specific server, etc.)
PvE – Dynamic Event tracking. Receive configurable alerts (computer generated voice, taskbar popup, etc.) when the status of a specified Dynamic Event has changed. View the statuses, names, and locations of Dynamic Events. View the current state of all Dynamic Events for each world.
September 2013: Guild emblems implemented across the application.
Supports Logitech Gaming Series LCD Displays and Devices. See the status of WvW, events, and more on your keyboard’s LCD and more. * Requires Logitech Gaming series devices and the Logitech Gaming Software.

I’ve posted the source code for a ratings calculator & matchup estimator in this thread:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/api/Simple-C-Example-Rating-Calculation
I may post a compiled version at some point if there’s a demand for it, but it’s not hard to get Microsoft’s free Visual C# Express Edition and compile it yourself.

the entry for gw2stats doesn’t lead anywhere.
Can you update the link to lead to gw2stats.net?
Thanks in advance

Hello, I would like to add my android application to the list :
GuildWars 2 – WvW Battle Map
It shows the general WvW map (3 borderlands + Eternal Battlegrounds) and updates in near real time (every 10 seconds) all objectives.
Their color represent the world owning them, and a little shield is displayed if a guild claimed them.
On the same screen, it displays an “events history”, which logs every objective capture (also updated every 10 seconds).
Finally, the application also has a widget, which displays total scores of each world competing, and how many camps/towers/keeps/castle they own. The widget is updated every 30 minutes.

by myself.
Thought I’d add my guild emblem image generator experiment thing to this list:
http://gw2-emblemer.appspot.com/emblem.get?guild_name=ArenaNet
http://gw2-emblemer.appspot.com/emblem.get?guild_id=4BBB52AA-D768-4FC6-8EDE-C299F2822F0F
… and that’s about all it does.
Hello
You may add the application i’ve developped, it is now stable enough to be used.
It use vocal notification (voice synthesis) to warn you about world boss event changes, so may help people who don’t want to look at a browser while playing.
Currently supported languages are English and French.

I’ve written a simple android app entitled “Guild Wars 2 Claims” that allows you to find what objective your guild is currently holding. The intent is for members of a guild to be able to A ) know where to go to defend the objective claimed by their guild leaders and B ) know that something has already been claimed if they are deciding to claim something new.

(edited by Bhaal.3417)
I’ve got a site up with event status’ that is using the api. Will keep adding more and refining user interface.
OK, apart from my online timer, I now have written an overlay app which links to the net and monitors and tells you what’s happening.
Although it’s still in BETA it’s 99% functional (still perfecting popup positioning) but it’s very customizable. You will eventually be able to choose which of the “chest” events you monitor plus add ANY event you want to be monitored (like Penetant etc.) and get an active list of current active events.
I’m always open to suggestions to improve but if you want to have a look, go get it from http://www.enigma-eu.co.uk/gw2EventOly.zip (case sensitive). You will also need to install VC++ 2012 Runtime from http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30679
Just made major update to dynamic event tracker site. It is now possible to get desktop notifications of newly active events. All events and locations link to wiki page and show map location along with event type and level requirement. Notifications show event name and location.
http://guildwarstools.com/worldselector.php
Here is our version of how to track world events.
- Sound Notification (on/off)
- Select/Deselect option to track which ones you got for today
- All servers, all languages
- Displays waypoints
- Database checks every 15s
- Website is updated from DB every 20s
- IP filter language preset
If you are into checkbox gaming hunting all those chests, let me know if there is anything missing.
Mine is at http://gw2event.exitosus.com

Hi, I updated my original app “GW2 Event Timer” to have feature of checking for Open Dungeon/Temple
Also, I have another app called “GW2 WvW Tool”
Thanks!
Just finished creating data models for the items and recipes and am successfully pulling down data and mapping to the models in C#. Next step is to cache some data in a Sql Server database, which means figuring out my schema for the tables. After that I will start implementing a page that allows anyone to easily compare armor and weapons, along with many other analytic tools related to items of all types.
The only public facing page at this time is my dynamic event page, located here
https://verily.biz/gw2devents
I’ll post an update once I’ve got a beta version of the item page.
I’ve revamped http://primalzed.github.io/GW2ActiveEvents to use the mapping service.
When you zoom in on a map, it will show all the waypoints and currently active events on the map.
Clicking on an event provides a link to the wiki page of the event, and clicking on a waypoint provides the in-game chat code for that waypoint.

Hey everyone,
sorry for not updating the list so long but it seems that I cannot edit the post any more since it has become too long. I have sent a PM to Terrasque.8735 since he owns the first response and it would be cool if we could continue the list in this response.
Thanks for letting us know. I was wondering why my latest app (gw2EventOly) hadn’t been added to the list!

Made and hosted by the guild Naturally Delicious. Full map of the game with on-map events displayed as those little round starburst things. It also auto-updates.
http://naturallydelicio.us/map/
While using the map I saw that guild missions are considered events. I suppose this means it’s possible for somebody to make something that will tell you when a guild event is kicked off so you can go and heckle them.
People are always complaining that leveling zones are empty, so I made a script that would, for each zone, rank servers in terms of activity* so I can decide which one to guest on.
The whole bash script (be warned, it’s pretty ugly is up at http://paste.ubuntu.com/5814413/. Hopefully someone will think it’s a cool idea and do it properly.
I’ll keep it running on my own server (http://mosli.net/events/) for a while so people can take a look, but I make no promises with regard to uptime, so don’t go adding it to the main post.
* Activity is determined by downloading the event list every 10 minutes, comparing it with the previous version and counting the differences. I don’t know much about how the API handles event states so it’s entirely possible that the resulting number will be somewhat meaningless. I’m betting though that actual player activity will cause a zone/server to rise up above the noise.

Hey All,
I created an Android application to make sure no one ever needs to miss another meta event! Its my first app so be gentle . Hopefully it helps everyone out who is not gifted with two monitors or wants to watch tv or do something else without having to be glued to the computer.
Feel free to post feed back or possible improvements! It operates similar to a gw2stuff in that it aggregates pre-events into the meta to inform you of what stage the meta is on.
A quick rundown of the features…
- Easy visibility of active metas! (no timers in API … yet )
- Notifications when a meta begins a pre event (go do other stuff while you wait!)
- Auto and manual refresh
- Mark completed events
- Set time to reset markings (Daily reset)
- Configurations to save battery life
Thanks and hope you find it useful! Like I said, first app ever so be nice please
Hello everyone,
I’ve programmed a website where you can get all events. We’re planning some other features, but currently theres only a all-language event-list.
It would be nice, if you visit us:

I am the dev who built the map that Yaos.4528 linked to earlier. I have been working on a better version of that map, and I’ve just puhsed it live akittens new URL:
Divinity’s Reach interactive map: http://divinitysreach.com
Heres are two preview screenshots:
Filters for:
- Events (active and preparing)
- Dungeons (click on a dungeon to see which servers it is available on)
- PoIs, Vistas, Waypoints (all with chat codes)
- Hearts
- Skill Challenges (a few of these link to the respective event, but the information is a little bare in the API)
Extra stuff:
- Correct icons for the events
- You can click on a dungeon to give the list of servers that dungeon is currently uncontested on (and the icon will update based on your server’s status)
- Links to the wiki, and (where its available) information on follow-up events to the one you currently have selected.
Whats next:
- I’m looking for translators, theres a document at http://divinitysreach.com/translations.txt of the text that needs to be translated (send me a mail in-game if you would be able to help)
- A search.
- A few extra filters (chest events)
- Better icons (I drew the PoI/etc ones myself to get retina versions, but the event ones are a bit fuzzy), but hopefully we’ll have some official ones in the future!
Tech stack:
- Built on leafletjs, Backbone (barely) and Underscore
- Development using Yeoman, Grunt, Bower
- Hosted on a cheap shared server, but fronted by CloudFlare for caching and CDN
Give me a shout in-game (character name in sig) if you have any questions!

I’ve been working on a smart web app for events. It’s made for mobile, but will work on desktops decently well (albeit look a bit silly). Check it out at http://gwtimer.com or http://guildwars2eventtimer.com/
Plans for the future include alerts, integrating with GW2 Oauth, and hopefully a nice map to acompany the advanced info. Let me know if you have any questions or have some pointers.
I’m requesting an update to the gw2stats.net entry. It does a whole lot more than just live images now.
- WvW stats
- WvW Live Map
- WvW Ranks
- Event Maps
- Items Database
- Trading Post Data (updated hourly)
- GW2 API Status
- Latest Announcements, Build Notes and Youtube content
Some things I am currently working on
- Recipe Database
- Trading Post watchlists (more frequent updates)
- Dragon/Boss Timers
- Open Temples

If you haven’t seen it lately, just head on over to http://gw2stats.net and check it out. It’s changed a lot in the last couple months.
Starting soon, I’ll be looking for some contributors to the site. Some of the type of things I am looking for are: Market Analysis of the TP, Dungeon Guides, Build Guids, WvW Guides, S/TPvP and crafting constributors. If you are interested, please let me know.
My little WvW-Live-Map: http://rabbit-online.de/ (may be soon another domain…)
