Hello everyone. I’d like to share with you the Guild Wars 2 Event Notifier. It is an Android app available at Google Play Store.

Description:
GW2 Event Notifier (GWEN) is the app that notifies you in real time when your hand-picked dynamic events are at a certain state, personalized to your liking. GWEN comes with a “My Events” list that you can add or remove from, keeping track of which events to watch for. Notification settings includes an auto refresh feature that can be set, toggle-able sound and vibration settings, and state notification for each watched event. Searching for an event is made easy with a world/map filter and a search capability.

I know there are other apps similar to this one, but this one is unique because you can pick and choose from all possible dynamic events in the game, along with keeping track of just those picked, on multiple servers. I first started making this app mainly for me, because I wanted to keep track of not just world boss events, but other events too (like events to get certain consumable items) , and on different servers (because we can guest to 2 other servers). Then I decided to publish because I already had an account, and could get feedback on it to further my Android developing knowledge.

This app is still in beta, so there might be bugs. I plan to keep updating this until it is stable, and I also plan to add more functionality like seeing which servers have a certain event at a certain state. Right now I’m currently adding a “to be added events” queue to be able to add multiple events to the My Events list without having to load all events on a certain map for each event.

I’m still new to Android programming and I’d appreciate any feedback/comments/suggestions you may have.

Nice App so far. The only annoying thing is that it keeps informing me every update if an event is running. I would really like an option to only inform me once when the state of an event changes.

Good app. One thing I would like to see added would be the ability to select an event and then be able to select all servers in my region. With guesting this would be really helpful. Good job on the app.
