Guild Wars 2

Have you guys seen this? This guy gives really good reviews on many,many,many games.. Heres his view on Gw2, And i’d say i have to agree with him.

Yes, I saw it some months back, before I started to play. I thought it was pretty funny and informative, though I was pretty sold on GW2 already.

i actually heard about his video after launch and expected it to be another rage video about how gw2 sucks and how wow is better, and what not

it really surprised me to see a good review by a somewhat well known independent youtube reviewer, but he doesn’t seem to be the type that would enjoy your typical point and click mmo

Yeah, he did this pre-launch even. I watched the vid looking for info on the game, and it drove me to make my mind up and get it ^_^

He also gave GW2 his game of the year award and the Angry Army guild he started is still active.

out of curiosity, what server does he play on and by any chance has anyone actually tried to join his guild?

Yeah, I just seen it today, and it reminded me that even with all the bugs and things that need to be fixed, GW2 is an amazing and beautiful game, that we players need to apreciate Arenanet a hella lot more for sharing the world of Tyria with us.

some people like him some people don’t, he isn’t exactly professional, but he does have a sort of professional feel when he reviews games, plus some people find his videos funny

not everyone will agree with another person’s opinions~

His review was what sold me on the game. I had refused to buy it due to NCSoft shutting down City of Heroes a few weeks prior, but… he made it sound amazing.

The game hasn’t lived up to my expectations, but it also has in no way disappointed me, either. It just was different than the image Angry Joe had painted in my head.

The video was around early after launch. Also, he has other games he plays so he probably doesn’t actively play Guild Wars 2 as much as people might think. Remember, he still has videos to produce on newly released games so he must be playing those . . .

He does cover all the bases, or most of them, I’ll give him that. Sometimes I find it hard to find ways to briefly summarize what makes Guild Wars 2 so good, in a way that doesn’t make me sound like a raving fanboy or involve a 10 minute lecture.

Check out his website, it’s all on the forums. I think he stopped playing tbh, just as his guild as that community moves from game to game.

I wonder what happened to the mini dungeons below the WvW maps, unless they just meant the EB JP. I thought I read somewhere, pre-launch, that there were underground dungeons that connected to keeps and they were an alternative way to attack a keep or something.

GW2 was ALWAYS advertised has having the same stuff to do at max level as you did while levelling, why do so few people know this -_-

I hate games that randomly change the focus of the game just because you leveled too many times.

Impossible. When talking about something that’s genuinely good, it is extremely difficult to not sound like a fanboy. I’ve seen reviews start with the opening comment that they had to rewrite the piece three times in order to not come across as a fanboy. GW2 is just that good.

Yeah, I hate youtube reviewers. Especially angry video game nerd.

His GW2 content is why I’ve been subscribed to his channel for the last few months. Been enjoying his other vids too, even when I have no interest in the games he talking about. Entertaining guy and generally on the money with his criticisms and compliments.

I wasnt gona buy gw2 but his video changed my mind. Glad it did.
