Unlucky with Lupi, haha. So close to DPSing him down without reaching phase 3. Also thankfully eles can blink, else that would have been really annoying before ritual when you got hit and lost swiftness before the jump down from passage waypoint… stupid elite risen trash mobs

Wow, nice, I haven’t run Arah for months now since I am bored, but what about after the first boss with with portal? Isn’t that not supposed to be done to do a proper run? We usually ran all the way to boss two by skipping which takes considerably longer.

The mesmer very clearly did some trash skipping while the party was engaging Hunter/Crusher. I’m not sure how else you might explain the portal or the blue dot on the minimap that is running around nowhere near the rest of the party.

Another non restricted non unrestricted non record, fun.

As for the mesmer portal guys, the mes is not doing a proper run, he’s using a gun to jump over the cliff to put down the portal quickly on the other side.

honestly I am not familliar with what they use to jump, but you can see that he is making the jump, and mesmer has no leapskills. If you watch our 8:17 kill you can see what it looks like on the map when someone goes the whole way.

You still cannot use any jumping puzzle for restricted. So what exactly is this clip about? The description is very lacking.

can’t use consumables like feathers and embers either, so I guess they intend for it to be unrestricted… but they haven’t posted it on gwscr either so they’re probably just posting it because it was a good run? idk

Honestly, are we obliged to respect rules from a non official forum to do some speed runs of gw2? Restricted, unrestricted, who cares? There is only one rule for us, come in the dungeon and do the best time you can without hacking of course, whatever items and tactics you use.

If we wanted to follow the rules from gwscr, we would have posted on that forum.

It kills the point of even agreeing on the rules if people are just going to ignore them.

I can’t say I really care for unrestricted dungeon speed clears.

They’re not even trying to claim it’s a record, they haven’t posted it on gwscr so why do you need to argue over it’s legitimacy for gwscr if the people who actually did the run aren’t even trying to do so

We dont all agree with the rules on gwscr. But its rather pointless not to follow them when doing records. I mean what competition do you have when you invent your own rules.

Thats fair enough. But the meeting to decide rules for gwscr was kind of to discuss this thing. And there arent any “official” rules. Closest thing to official we have is gwscr.

It’s obvious Keep Running doesn’t care for the whole ruleset you all came up with, and so be it. i don’t see what the big deal is.
Keep running is not forced to fly under the flag you all painted.

I could get much faster time on solo. Just start the clock when final boss has 1% hp left.

Anyways, it’s always a bit shame when some individuals decide to do their own way instead of cooperating with others.

No one is stopping you from doing that, and if you do, do that i doubt Kr will complain and argue about it.

I would understand your point if they were trying to claim it’s a record but they’re not.

Without knowing the details, it’s impossible to tell if the run was any good.

“We haven’t pretended to post a record” and then I watch the video and it’s got a timer on it. Nobody slaps a timer on their casual runs and uploads multiple perspectives of it.

Speed run is the way we like to play gw2 and other games. That’s the reason why almost every run is filmed and got a timer. I don’t see anything weird.

Im aware you are not doing these runs to claim records, this is perfectly fine with me, the only issue I have is the way you are currently responding.

Kr was at the speedclear meeting in which we made these rules, meaning that you decided with us on the rules and joined in the agreement. Even if these are not official, these are rules that the guild [Kr] currently has their autograph under. If you do a record like this, have fun, I dont mind. If you dont agree with the rules, sure, thats fine. But if you’re posting a run under the name of your guild, which has agreed on speedrunning rules together with us, and say that the rules are not official, then you’re breaking the gentleman’s agreement.

And again, I am aware that you are not doing this under the name of a speedclear, you’re not submitting it, the only issue I see is your personal remark.

In the case we post a speed run on gwscr I completely agree that we have to respect the rules given by the community of this forum.

I fail to see how someone running arah p3 a couple of months ago is any relevant to this. And we just post public messages on your public topic.

You could easily avoid all of this by stating that your “best run” isn’t supposed to be a record run. It’s ridiculous to expect us to go check gwscr forums to see if it’s an actual record or not.

I honestly don’t know what you are trying to achieve here but this doesn’t give me a very positive image of your guild.

That’s why I gave the exemple of 5 minutes arah.

We need three things to have any meaningful discussion whether a run was good or not.

1) What was run: well explained on your post
2) What was the time: well explained on your post
3) How it was done: no explanation on your post

We can’t read your mind. We can’t really tell how your run was done unless we can see it (some povs were missing) or you tell us. That’s why people were confused and that’s why they were asking about it.

For me, a run begin when the team chooses the path TOGETHER until the death of the last boss. So, Keep Runninged !

In reference to our 5 minute run, I would like to clarify:

That run wasn’t done seriously as an attempt to actually set some insanely untouchable record that would show how leet we were. We thought the exploits and OTT consumable use in other guilds’ runs were getting out of hand to the point where the entire concept of records was becoming a joke. So our goal was to do something so over the top and cheesy that the level of ridiculousness would have to be addressed or record runs would degenerate into the most worthless exploits. What was the result? New rules were made that every guild agreed to at the time and I think the results of that speak for themselves in terms of most guilds and players being happy with the Restricted ruleset and the type of gameplay it encourages. Mission accomplished as far as we are concerned. Before you try to use our guild as some explain of dirty players, maybe you should understand what we were trying to do before you make a comment on it.

I guess the targeted pet’s name and video description wasn’t enough of an indicator of how serious the 5 min run was. Bringing about changes was the accomplishment we set out to get not the time.

I don’t know about the rest of the people that were a part of the 5 minute run, but I wanted to do it for the sole purpose of trolling Rose’s autism. I’d say it worked, because as far as I know, any guild that carries relevance considers him to be a sad little worm.
