I’ve been doin a bit of “sketching” (which to me means COPY EVERY LINE AND ANGLE) and trying to listen to the things you told me (but old habits die hard, heh :p) I’m having a lot of fun, I’ve been sketching my desktop backgrounds, which is a slideshow of gw2 concept art. and given the sketchy nature of gw2 art, there are a lot of vague contours and details that cant really be copied with a humble mech pencil and the tiniest drop of sanity :p but i relaxed a bit and made a couple drawings im proud of! helps to have some chill music in the background haha. thanks for the inspiration and encouragement

Just remember, things do not have to look the same to be awesome. If anything beauty is found in diversity.

If you ever ask Su about which is the best place to hide, she will answer “In plain view!”. Her answer to -why- will always be “Because everyone is busy checking the bushes!”.

Su is not hard to notice at all, if anything you will immediately know when she entered the room!

What have I learned today? Necromancers are hard to draw.

Leaves are fine. I draw them often for my own sylvari. Have any more screencaps? What can you tell me about her personality?

Llumin is a loyal and faithful ally to those who know her, and her friends are her greatest strength.

Here is Vini. She’s… a very odd asura. She’s also more toward the “sexy” side on the asura “cute” spectrum. If you need a better understanding of what I mean, you can read a bit of “The Assassin of Rata Sum” story in my sig. :P

Given that, she’s still a genius since asura society finds brains more attractive than physical appearance; however, I felt there needs to a visual attraction also for relationships to spawn.

Hence, Vini (unfortunately, not shown in the refs because, ya know, GW2 models) is attractive. :p She also is very expert at being a thief, a little later, an assassin.

The refs show her hooded and unhooded as well as on the field (and yes, the mini red panda will show up in the story at some point and become her cute little pet.)

Again, thank you! I’m a fairly patient person, so don’t worry about rushing it. Take your time.

I have to agree with Fat Disgrace (I feel like I’m insulting them… ), first sketch is always sketchy (pun intended). It’ll get better as you go. Your art’s already fantastic, Ravel.

Haha no, I knew an art block was coming when the quality started declining, just did not expected it this soon. Woooops. Always happens but it came sooner than usual.

Neah I am aware I am not good. I just enjoy posting my art everywhere ever despite that, but am aware of my level. Good thing about reality is that it stays the same no matter how much you deny it, right?!

Why, thank you! I have some original stuff in the works (one being a historical fantasy taking place in Renaissance, Italy!), so I plan to become a published novelist.
