Hi setius,
great stuff! I especially like the pose of the sylvari necro as well as his staff!
Very well done!
Kind regards
Benjamin
I agree the sylvari necro’s pose is awesome. I like your characters’ personalities and attitude.

Hey Setius — is the last one a Norn? Seems so, just checking.
Love ’em all.

If only there were a few sets of ice-themed armor in this game …
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
- Jareth, King of Goblins.

I’m not entirely sure but i think it was a Norn. thanks <3

Fitting alongside jormag’s wings and sword~
but i guess you can still make it look like ice if you pick some crystal-ish armor and give it some nice blue colours^^
and another one~
if someone is interested, i migt offer some fast sketches for a bit of ongame gold for wintersday^^
These are such fun. Thanks for sharing!

Your works are fantastic! What medium do you use? They appear to be almost pastel with their blending, but they also seem to show some well-used colored pencil. I look forward to seeing more of your magnificent works!

Ask the author or characters!

for the sketches? simple pencil and then add some overall colour thru photoshop when cleaning it up after scanning.
thankyou^^
Great work, you definitely have a talent. I wish I could draw, would be drawing all my characters up
Lovely style, thank you so much for sharing!
PS.: ANet artists, you guys could use a few of these as inspirations! Ice-themed armor as suggested by Nike, and also an upgrade to the three-cranium staff to make it very necromancer-y!
Pushing this up again~
Are you still creating commissions for gold? If so I would be very interested to hear some ideas and price.

This is my character I would love to have some art of. Best way to contact me back would be ingame email. I dont check forum that often.
Setius doesn’t check the forums very often either! I just got a response from her on reddit. Pretty busy irl, but might work on commissions at a slower pace. There’s price info on her DA page, I think she said somewhere that $10=100g
in fact, we’re going to put the goons to sleep.
Meanwhile – we dig.
Yes I still do commissions but as Teaniel said: at a much slower pace.
Got alot of uni work to do atm, but always feel free to write me ingame/steam(http://steamcommunity.com/id/setius/) /reddit(soudius)/deviantart(setius) or per mail: soudius@web.de
:)
Wow, the last one is great! Looks like a creator-god or mighty angelic related to the human deities of Tyria. What did you imagine when painting it?
Best regards
Benjamin
Cool, really like the stained glass themed pieces you’ve got. Good work!
By the Pale Tree, these are beautiful!
Another piece after some time~
The new piece is lovely! Could you give us the background on this, or a title? I really enjoy the variety of art styles that you show us. Thanks.

Thank you Gaile :>
It was a gold commission for a good friend who loved the old Guild Wars. He wanted some of the nostralgia back, so I did a piece with his character and prince rurik.
Its on his wall now, all nice and printed
That’s so nice to know. Thanks for the background! But… honestly… Prince Rurik?

So your question made me curious and i asked my friend why he wanted me to do this again…and well.. look here:
forgiveme I never played gw1. (but sooon, maybe?)
These are really lovely, especially the backgrounds! May I ask how much you charge for gold commissions? I’ve got some cash piled up, and I’ve wanted some art of my characters for a long time now
thanks!
Depends on the piece and style~ I sent you a pm with information

Well, now I feel really, really guilty! In truth, I have a fond place in my heart for Prince Rurik… or at least I did until he reminded me for the 419th time about his childhood.

I agree, Benjamin! I wondered the same — that image is great. Stained glass, wings, noble expression, gleaming weapon…
Setius — we want to know about this guy! (Oh, and is this a watercolor?)

Ahh, i am so bad at giving titles or the like ;n;
that was a gold commission from a wife to her husband- its his character, a very noble norn guardian who has set out to protect the people.
he looked so angelic that i wanted to give him that vibe in the picture too.
and nope, this one is digital, structured with one of my watercolour textures on top however :>
